Things are starting to get back to normal. I need to keep it light on the bi work and some of the shoulder work but the other areas I can really feel it coming back quickly.

Tuesday's Training
Quads/Hams/Calves
Squats
1 x 10 @ Bar w/u
1 x 10 @ 135 w/u
1 x 5 @ 225 w/u
1 x 8 @ 275
1 x 8 @ 275
1 x 8 @ 275
1 x 6 @ 295
1 x 5 @ 305
Took a page out of Buckspin's journal
Very happy with the depth and squat work overall.
BB hack squats
1 x 8 @ 275
1 x 8 @ 275
1 x 8 @ 275
Haven't done these since my arm issues. Just about tossed my cookies.
Leg Extensions 2 count pause at the top
1 x 8 @ 180 PWO
1 x 8 @ 180
1 x 8 @ 180
good stuff
SLDLs
1 x 8 @ 135 w/u
1 x 8 @ 225
1 x 8 @ 275
1 x 8 @ 275
more cookie issues.
lying leg curls PWO
1 x 8 @ 115
1 x 8 @ 115
1 x 6 @ 115
seated calf raises
1 x 10 @ 180
1 x 10 @ 180
1 x 10 @ 180
nice and slow
super setted these with the leg curls and leg extensions
Excellent training session. Legs were jello and I was good and tired. it was good to have the hacks back in tonight...they really beat up my quads. A good leg workout makes walking up the stairs interesting.
I also apologize for not getting around to others journals....busy busy week so far.

Massive leg session Kevin. There's nothing more satifying than a leg workout like that. You gotta be very happy with that.

The best way I have had it is just pan seared.
Put oil, galic and onion in pan. Cook them until semi soft and oil is well seasoned. Bring oil temp and add salted trout. Cook to about 150 internal temp. Serve over wild rice with lemon.
Hope the wife don't mind me cleaning the fish. Can't get any fresher!

I'm doing great...just been extremely busy this time of year. Thanks about the AVI...it was taken around the end of July. I've added a little insulation since then.

Kewl! I think you will like this 5 set program very much. Its been very good to my quad & overall strength/leg development. So next time you will be doing:
285x8x3
305x?
315x?
As long as you hit your rep counts on the working sets IN GOOD FORM, you just add 10lbs every time. It adds up FAST.
So, how were the last few reps of the working sets?

Thanks David. The arm is doing pretty good. It got pretty sore this weekend after doing a bunch of yardio but it seems to be holding up pretty good in the gym. I just need to be careful of what I do.

That's the plan for next week. I've been having some issues with the squat form and it breaking down. I've gotten back to where I feel really comfortable with them and getting nice and deep. the 275 went well...I'm expecting the same for 285 although the last few reps should be tough.

Funny thing about bodybuilders/weight trainers/people who exercise regularly in general; take away our ability to train, and we're crushed. Joe Average Couch Potato, on the other hand, would be elated to have an excuse not to train. There is a very different mind-set going on here.

Aww crap, nobody wants those kind of cookies.
Great workout Kevin. That is some strong a$S legs man. Guess all that extra leg time while the wing was repairing added some rubber to them wheels.

The fact that we work so hard for so long to see yourself out of action...it was just depressing to me. I'm working through it.

Attempted pullups tonight but they were a no go with the arm.
Nice workout all around. pleased with the BB rows.
As I said in the above post, my work has our surf control all f'd up and I can't get to the forums. No telling when or if they'll ever get it straightened out. If I can't get on tomorrow I'll get around to everyone over the weekend.
Got to go feed the beast and then some family time. Y'all take care.

You're fortunate you can do these, what with your arm problem. And you're killing them, at that.

oh lord do I know what you're saying
nice work today. Sux about the pullups...that said I don't think anything stresses my forearms more than pullups. Have you thought about chins instead?
