(srs) do you need to directly work forearms to get them big?
If so, do you need a full workout routine? or just a couple direct exercises a week? What exercises are best?

It all depends on your genetics.
Some exercises:
Static Holds
Wrist Curls/Forearm curls etc
Forearm/Hand Grippers

I don't work my forearms at all and they're 14 inches cold. They can be worked during other exercises other than focusing on them.

No you don't need to but direct stimulation really did help put on quick mass for me.

some ppl have forearms that grow just off the other lifts like barbell curls n stuff.. but mine r stubborn as hell so i go in n do them with calves on a seperate day (also stubborn as hell).. its my day for laggin body parts.
And yeh liftin straps really detract from your forearm strength so if u love the straps ur gonna have to do some specific exercises for forearms like reverse barbell curls n forearm curls etc

Are the holding the rope or the bar when you're rolling the weight? I mean if you're holding the bar why not just use a barbell and weights?

you dont have to but if you want big forearms i dont see why you wouldnt directly work them.
wrists curls and farmers walks, pretty much what everyone else said.if you have a fat barbell, using it for rows and deadlifts and stuff will help also

Im going to try doing my normal wrist curls/reverse curls with medium heavy weight but resting only like 10-20 seconds instead of 1 minute+
I did last time and I think it will help build mass easier.. cuz I eat enough for the mass to come. The 1 minute+ rest haven't helped much regardless of how intense/heavy I lifted

They're meh- I recommend hammer curls, and wrist curls (frontal and behind the back).
