Any other "fit" short guys?
Im talking more along the lines of guys that are around 5'6 (My height). I was just wondering, how much do you way? Im a medium frame according to the test by wrapping your middle finger and thumb around your wrist (For me they touch eachother, but dont overlap).
Currently im 5'6 and about 140 pounds, and according to an online BMI counters im at around 22% BMI. I was wondering if any other 5'6 guys are out there and way a little less. And was wondering what ya look like. When i say fit, i meen defining abs and a adonis belt. I definitly have some fat on my stomach that im in the process of burning off. Hopefully by the summer it will be gone.

I'm in the same boat too, wondering about that....
Though I managed to get down to 130lb and 11%BF last summer and could see my upper abs, when I sat down, I still had a massive belly. It was really strange.

i think you guys need to bulk up and then cut again... maybe bulk up to 160 slowly then cut back down so you have some more muscle mass..

See, this is what im worried about. I have a little fat on my stomach/rest of my body that really covers up any muscle i have right now, so ive been cutting for the past month or so. My parents both said i look great since ive been doing it, though i dont really see a differance.(But thats what everyone says).

I'm 5'8 at 140, I liked how you used the word "fit" though. To answer your question Id have to lose about 5 lbs, maybe even 10 to get the definition youre talking abotu although I do have some definition on me now.

No offense, But I was wondering if anyone has any insight as to why this is, BUT, I have noticed that at my gym all the 18-26 year olds are all short tiny little guys, They all have like the same body type too. There are like 20 of them. And all the guys my age, 28-35 are like 6feet and taller.
There must be something in the water.
by the way, some of those kids are really putting on some serious muscle.
theres like 5 of them that work really hard during their workouts and it shows.

As a California resident, have you notice big shift in minority around your area? This analogy applies to spike of short people (I blame it on the water too)

it's pretty hard to want to bulk up when you're covered in a massive layer of flab
I'd rather get lean and then bulk, at least it won't drive my self esteem to hell.

Not saying this is bad advice, but my view is different. For me, cutting down and losing weight has been a huge motivation for me to keep working out. Seeing my muscles pump up now vs. when I weighed 160lbs is way more motivating to keep going. But, to each his own...

Usually about 1500 per day. I have an active lifestyle mainly due to my job and I naturally eat low carb mainly due to my personal taste.
One cheater day per week at about 3000 cals.
Weight loss and dieting come very easily for me. My appetite is generally low and even at 1500/day, I find myself sometimes forcing a snack or meal to prevent total energy deprivation.
I also jump started my weight loss with a simple bodyweight circuit:
10 x pull/chinups
10 x decline pushups
10 x incline pullups/chinups
10 x inverted pushups (shoulder presses)
10 x (each leg) lunges
10 x 1 leg romanian deadlifts
X 4 sets w/ 30-60 sec rest between sets
This is a fast paced, 15 minute workout that exhausts the hell out of you. I don't do that anymore because it ruins me for good heavy lifting.
