That 140 x 3 is a PR. I had never done floor pressing with DBs prior to this. Heh...140 x 3 was my max on the regular DB Press in August. Don't be suprised if I pull double digit reps with 140's on the flat before the year is over.
I attribute my latest strength gains to creatine, and beer, but mostly the creatine.

Sick pushing berto. 2011 is going to be something else the way your strength gains are comin right now. And great job on the squatting the other day too, somehow I became unsubbed so I had to go back to read that. I can't wait to feel those 140's one of these days. Should hopefully be by the end of the year.

Now the ultimate goal would be to do the 160's I would need to go to Eric's gym for that because we only have 155's around these here parts.

Those Bears were something else, that Raven's defense a few years a go came close though. They won a Super Bowl with Tren Dilfer, so you know the defense had to be good.
Magic...That **** is voodoo in a bottle, but it gives you a big head instead.

211.75 POUNDS!
Now for those of you who know me really well I have been into the whole gym rat thing for quite a few years. It's really only been the last year and a half that I have really put my foot down on this though. It went from something I did for ****s and giggles into something I take serious now. I am young, and instead of doing what other people my age do with all the privilages your youth has to offer. Such as bouncing back from hangovers, party night after night, and other fun activities. I am going to use this time in my life do something a little different. Trying to not use my youth to destroy, but rather cultivate something positive from the blessing that is my youth.
This week was a good one, as I lost exactly what I wanted to. On top of that it seems a have a bigger following with the whole blog thing than I first suspected. And I think that's kinda cool. Thanx guys!
Also I found a log that I took while working at 24 hour fitness a few years back, and it really shows you how far I have come.
Dates 3/16/03 & 7/15/06
Weight 175 211
Body Fatgbsp; 5.6 (Don't trust calipers!) 13 (Legit)
Neck 16 17.75( 1.75)
Upper Arm 16 17.25( 1.25)
Forearm 12.5 14.25( 1.75)
Chest 42 45.5( 3.5)
Waist 34 33(-1)
Hip 45 44(-1)
Thigh 25 27( 2)
Calf 15.5 17 ( 1.5)
I weigh 36 pounds more and I am much leaner, how cool is that.
Of course the picture for the week. I tried to do something different, but it ended up failing since lighting was ****ty outside as in I could not find a place to keep the sun behind the camera. This is what I got....**** even a couple random bloopers made it. In any case here we go!
Who said you need to do ab work?
WOW...Car tires....
I look blocky here....Oh well
?
Good weather of late.
???? Yeah the lighting is off
That is all folks! I better get going because I told Carlos I would try to make it to the city tonight. Take it easy guys! Going to use my youth to party hard tonight.

But yes, I agree. Along with the Walter Payton. Probably my favorite RB to watch clips of. So so similar to Rice who had not so good of a 40 , yet brilliant player. With that Im glad I have his rookie card LOL

Heh, I like how in those last 2 pics of your old log, your side chest is shot from the front and your rear lat spread is shot from the side :P
You can really see you were starting to lean out at that point though.

You have a Rice rookie card to? Its one of my prized possessions. Brother gave it to me 2 birthdays ago. Actually pulled it from a pack to, he got me five unopened packs. Jerry's was the only RC in all five pack.

Amazing interview Alberto! I copied a couple of the quotes down.. and for some reason the picture of you with your Mom hit home with me! My mom frantically drives down to watch my little club baseball games... I could only imagine how happy she'd be if I ever got anywhere with this. Such a good read.

Picture is my favorite bodybuilding, and maybe simply my favorite picture ever. First of all that was a month after I hurt my butt, leg, and nerve all in one.
She recalls to this day how pale in the face I was from the pain. Yet I insisted on staying on my diet even though I could barely move my leg without intense pain. For two or three days she weighed and measured my food, and would put it in my fridge every morning. She saw me will myself out of bed, and continue on with the prep. Four weeks later, I found myself winning my first overall at the INBA Raiders Silver and Black Muscle Classic. She knew how hard I pushed just to make it out there. I lost it when I saw her.
To this day she talks out how proud, and amazed he was at the fact that I continued. I learned from the best!

I simply just love this sport! I want to see it live to its full potential, and its easy to share with people who share your passion, which is abundant on this site.

Jeff did an amazing job. Hats of to the artista

ahhh I remember the day you returned to the silver and black and won the whole damn thing....that was the day your "no crying" log became A LIE! lol
No but seriously I don't think I've ever been so ecstatic at a show before, that was more exciting than even competing in any of the shows I've done
And Jeff is getting better with each piece he does!

Jeff did a fantastic job with this again.
you've got a lot of integrity and when there's no bull**** attached to it, that's a very unique quality to have. Talking about layne, ben, eric, levi, your mom, jerry rice, etc... recognizing those who helped pave the way, that's what it's all about man, great read.
