Youtube videos of a women starving herself for god.
So this woman starves herself for 40 days, then she eats for a week, then she starves herself for another 40 days, then eats for a week...repeat over and over....all for god...somehow.
Here's her youtube page with all her videos...and yes the chunky girl and the one who looks like she came out of a concentration camp are the same girl.

There is a difference between fasting for God and almost killing yourself. Looking from the new videos it seems that she may be going through some health problems. I have fasted before for 12 hr periods over a period of a week or 2, and it was very hard but if I felt any sort of health problem, I personally would stop immediately. Besides there are a ton of other ways you can fast rather than just food. Fasting is giving up your physical desires in order to fully immerse yourself spiritually and, in doing so, become spiritually strong. IMO a media fast (computer, tv, cellphones, texting) is a LOT harder than a food fast. Also, from looking at the video posted it seems like she may be suffering from a mental disorder...seems like OCD to me. Maybe?

I'm pretty sure the whole idea behind "fasting" in a religious sense, is making a sacrifice which takes a great deal of willpower, and not having to advertise it to the world. It is something personal
