Its a product made by primordial performance, its basically a Vitamin E supp, but I believe there was a 6 months study done, and it showed significant hair growth in people with MPB, just cant find the study atm. Here are some highlights tho:
Complete vitamin E supplement contains all 8 isomers
Promote healthy hair growth and prevents hair loss
Clears plaque from artery walls for cardiovascular health
Increases testicular sensitivity for increased testosterone production
Raises HDL while reducing LDL cholesterol

All these products...so much money. I've tried it all, propecia, rogaine, nizoral...you name it. In my expierence nothing works for the frontal hairline, only the crown. I have finally given up...spending a small fortune with only marginal benefits. C'mon technology let's get moving here!

you are talking about tocomin. pp is simply one of the companies that sells it. the study was done on tocomin and soy isoflavones.

2 years ago i decided to go on my first course of steroids. I was 20 at the time, and for some reason, even though i had no hair loss or recession at all, i was paranoied about hair loss. So I opted for a weak steroid which i read should have little effect on hair loss, turinabol. Because of my paranoia about losing hair i bout some minoxidil shampoo, and started using it the day i started cycle. Lets just say 5 weeks later and cycle cut short, the hair shed on the top of my head had been insane, to the point where you could easily see my scalp, whereas before you couldnt at all. The weird thing was there was no recession on my temples, or loss of hair on the crown, just the top. During this time i had been using the shampoo almost daily, and sometimes leaving it on for 5 to 10 minutes. Looking back this was stupid but i hadnt realized that it could have been the shampoo causing the loss. My scalp was itchy as hell for ages, and red, and very flakey. I just put this down to the gear though, even though id read turinabol doesnt cause hair loss. Since then i havent dared touch steroids again, and my hair is back to 70% of what it was before, sill with no loss on the temples. Anyway ive been back on a course for two weeks and my scalp seems fine so ar with no itch or redness, and not touching that shampoo again. I still dont no which caused the major shed, but id assumed that steroid hairloss would take time, whereas the hairloss which happend was so quick. Aneway i hope im right and it was the shampoo.

So i see Xandrox, Minoxidil, and Spironolactone thrown about a lot.
How do you pick which one to use/which combination. Im currently using Nizoral but want to step it up cause its not helping.
Thanks

Heres my suggestions. If you're using creatine stop immediately. It increases the conversion of testosterone to DHT. You can try making your own spiro cream to save money. As well, Dutasteride would work better than finesteride. If you want to take Fin. Go to your doctor and tell him to give you a script for proscar. These are 5 mg. tabs instead of the 1 mg you get with propecia. Proscar is covered by insurance and youll save a lot of money by spliting up the pills. Lastly, I recommend Fluridil. It's only avail. through europe and can help stop the shedding on the frontal part where the hairline is. It reduces the androgen receptors on the scalp and members of hair loss forums have said very positive things about it.

You inspired me to do a quick google search to see if anything came up about creatine and DHT. Sure enough:

No difference at all. I currently take a generic finesteride, dutasteride, and minox. They're all generics and are the same damn thing as the brand named drugs.

I'm not sure, but from last winter to the summer, I was blogging like crazy, maybe like 12 hours a day.. I just kept thinking about my blog.. Not sure if this caused any hair loss or not.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I am currently taking Revita and it works well, but I need more treatment options. Someone please HELP I am stressing over losing hair. Thanks.
Also would creatine or fish oil cause hair loss? Thanks.
|
You can damage your hair by being aggressive with it, but it should grow back. Male pattern baldness is on the cellular level. Therefore, it is something internal and is not related to external stuff like gels, hair sprays, and even dyes. Although, they make your hair weaker and damage the shaft, they dont cause hair loss.
CREATINE WILL CAUSE YOUR HAIR TO FALL OUT, IF YOU ARE PRONE TO MALE PATTERN BALDNESS. I've found studies where it increased the conversion of testosterone to DHT by 50 something percent. I've personally tried creatine and started losing hair myself so I can attest to it.
I want to ask someone who has had experience with BCAA's and it's effect on hair. I recently ordered some xtreme forumulation ice bcaas and now am quesitoning if it was a wise purchase, considering I have a HUGE tub of creatine mono from ON sitting in my pantry

Drop the xandrox. Get fluridil instead if you must apply something else. You can also try retin-A with the minox. to help it absorb much better.

I don't know anything about xandrox, have just seen that it works. Minoxidil needs to be taken forever to keep the benefits. I've been using nizoral 3 times a week or so along with topical spiro 5% (s5 cream) 1-2 times daily. I keep my hair cut pretty short and it's thinned enough that it's easy to use it sparingly and make it last. Seems to be working great.

many have asked about thickening existing hairs. Although there are shampoos and conditioners, and serums you can use. They are temporary and are usually bad for the hair. One thing you can try is laser therapy. And no I dont mean the laser comb. That is junk and wont do anything for you. There are helmets that some people have made and it contains the same laser diodes that are available at laser clinics. overmechogrande.com is one of them. I bought his helmet a few weeks ago and can say that i has thickened my hair up quite a bit, but its too early to tell if it will regrow anything. Either you can buy it from him or make your own.

the reason I say drop xandrox is because it contains minoxidil which is a seperate product you're going to be using. Therefore, it doesnt make sense to use two different products that have the same main ingredient. Xandrox does have azleac acid (sp?) which is supposed to help hair loss, but it wont do anything fantastic for ya. Minoxidil on the other hand is MUCH cheaper. You can get kirkland brand minox. at costco for 20 bucks and it should last you about 6 months. So it would be more cost effective to buy the minox. and put the money elsewhere. If you got money to throw around then there is something called RU58841. It has never been approved by the fda and all testing has ceased on this product. But I can assure you that it is the strongest topical available to date. The only way to get it is to have the raw compounds imported and make it yourself. Google it and if you're interested I can tell you where to get it.

Question to Minxodill and various hair loss shampoo users.
After using / appying do you get itchy or slightly inflamed scalp for the period after applying ?
Is this a bad sign that it should not be used ?

More than likely it is the propylene glycol (PPG) in the product. You can find rogaine products without PPG. I know the foam, for example is free of this ingredient.
Not a bad sign, but not a good thing. Scalp irritation, itching, burning, etc. is the last thing you want as you are trying to combat MPB.

What do you guys think about this as a regimen:
2% Nizoral, T-Gel, and Spironolactone 2%?
Anyone have experience with Spironolactone 2% vs. 5%?

I heard Provillius is the best thing out there better than Rogaine.
all the natural shampoos and home remedies dont really grow your hair back just may stop it from cont. to thin or bald.
Seems like the Provillius and Rogaine pill and shampoo combo is the only thing that works

It looks pretty good. I would add minoxidil, unless you have a good reason not to. Cant really go wrong with it. As far as spiro goes, it's good also. Kinda expensive for my taste, but there are a lot of people that are happy with it. I'm actually going to have some relatives mail me some spiro tabs from India and just make my own for about 1/4 of the price.
