On the subjects of drafts... Should Women also get drafted since they want equality, so that would put them in the situation of being drafted

Yes, they wanted equality. Give it to them.
And in all seriousness if this war bull**** doesn't die down soon I'm going to join before a draft does end up happening
It's inevitable

Sup, in Officer's Training at univeristy in UK. Can't be deployed while a student but get trained like a regular officer.
Don't give a crap about legitimacy of Iraq War since my country has officially left Iraq, however can't say **** about Afghanistan War since that is a legitimate war with soldiers still fighting telly taliban muso cunts there.
Not sure if I'd join as a regular after university since then I'm gaurenteed to be deployed if we are still fighting talifukkers in 2012+.

Hi.
We live in something called a democracy. If you don't like something, get off your fatass and do something about it.
Sure, people love to bitch about the government but most of them are to lazy/don't care enough to do anything about it.

Democracy isnt like that, US democracy is more of a representative democracy (Voting for people to offices with your similar ideas) not a direct democracy (only used on some bills and laws)

Wow really? No ****.
The point is you can do something about it if you don't like the current state of affairs.

I mean leaving everything behind, your job (You can argue that being a soldier is in fact your job) , your family, your LIFE, I mean its pretty hard. I mean you cant expect to go back home all fine after you went off to another country and killed whole bunch of people while your comrades have been wounded or killed, your life on the like 24/7 for a few months. Time doesnt stop when you go off, life still goes on without you. Seeing someone close to you die impacts you hard, changes your life, with the burden of killing someone, its pretty damn big of a burden right there... The guy you killed had a family like you, and you just killed him? I mean it blows my mind...

The way you said that makes me think you really don't want to join at all. There are more occupations then being in the Infantry(like me). Seriously though, I ****ing love my job, I get a 1200 pay every 2 weeks to shoot/blow things up, I love every single part of my life in the Army.
You know how you were saying about he had a family and you just killed him? You really think he(whom ever it may be) really gives a **** about you? while your wondering if he has a family theres rounds going past your face. Hesitating loses lives in the army, that may include your own. I would seriosuly rethink your view's if you really decided to join, but thats my opintion, you have your own.
