Rare day for me, call off sick today. The tweak in the knee has been getting worse and being erect over a 12 hour shift just didn't let it get better. It was kind of funny, I was wheeling my chair around the control room whenever I could so I didn't have to stand up and walk around. That's pretty bad for me. And unfortunately, a short day-time sleep cycle hasn't brought the swelling down enough today. SO, I called in sick. Only other time I've done that in 8 years is after I had a root canal.
So, I'm up a 4 in the morning too used to night shift, but the leg feels a lot better after bed rest all day. Planning on the gym later this morning then back to work tonight.

Still not making power at work, and that has me stuck on night shift. Hopefully tonight we will get the plant started up and producing power. I need to get off of nights already. Seems ike I spent the majority of the year on it.
Finishing up on my Novedex trail. Grabbed my spit today to get that analyzed. So there should be much more activity here on this thread.
Halloween tomorrow and a night off scheduled for now. The wife and I are planning to go out as Romans with a couple of friends. Best adult night for people watching, people get silly when out of normal character.

0000-0700 work and stress
0900-1500 sleep
1600-1800 sleep,
1630-2000 drink jack and coke and hand out candy
rest of the night is party with friends in costumes
Living the life - well maybe.

I'm sorry Mark. I will say a prayer for your youngest and I hope the rest of you don't catch it. One of my best friend's son had it -- late teens -- and had a time with it.

Thanks Di. He's a pretty tough kid and was pretty active today although hacking pretty bad. Have to see how it goes today.
Since I'm in the transition from nights to days at work, my body is all messed up. Only thing to do is hit the gym at 4am and take care of business there. Had a really good session and sure it will stimulate some growth.

Kiddo is getting better, I'm feeling the effects of too many night shifts and not having my body all messed around from nights to days.
Way too long of a dayshift today. Moved power around all day long and we have 3 weeks of catching up to do that we are going to try to do too fast. Gym tomorrow.

Best thing I ever did was force my employer to move me back to days and evenings, no "overnight" work.
And oh man did the body respond in a good way.
Do it if you can Mark, you won't regret it.

Wish I had the option to be dayshift Brian, but utilities are 24/7 and the rotation is part of the job for an operator.
As far as the Novedex, it's a 1-3% supplement like many others out there. i.e., they may amplify improvement by 1-3% over what you normally put into things. That's all you can ask of a good product, and that's what it is. I've used it in the past and will probably do so again in the future.
Long weekend at work and rather fatigued the whole time. I did get tot he gym Saturady morning for a short but effective workout as my body hasn't adjusted to dayshift and I'm back on nights later this week anyway. Should be hitting the gym today and tomorrow.
Supposed to be nice and 70 today, hopefully time to get the motorcycle out for a spin.

Went to the dentist this morning to get a tooth filled and then I hit the gym. Based on the amount of time I had, decided to do nothing but biceps today. Tris were still sore so pumped up the nuclear arms for about 25 minutes with a bunch of different things for the biceps. Haven't fone that in a real long time.

Haven't done anything in the past 2 days. Hoping for some healing and thinking a trip to the doctor's office is needed. Got one more night of work, so tomorrow will be gym and food time.

Couple of days away from the gym. Trying to let my joints heal up. Recovery hasn't been to good lately. Lingering effects in my joints after each workout lately.
Had some realgood food lately. Went to Brasa Grill the other night It's a Brazilian steakhouse and all you can eat meat. Talk about a dream feasting spot. Definitely ate enough food there. Definitely an annual treat.
Long week anticipated at work. We have annual exams. Crew, Individuals and a written quiz. Have a bunch of studying to do during the week.

Good workout tonight. Doing things a bit different and was doing supersets with some different combinations. Bit back and delts this evening. Not too heavy, but not too light either. Joints felt a bit better after a few days off, so pushed things well but kept the reps high and will be for a while.
Not a bad day at work either. Think we passed all of our crew simulations today, and that is always a challenge as they throw a bunch of hard to win scenarios at us. More of that tomorrow as well but on an individual basis,

Thanks Tiff, wish I could say the joints are really fully recovered, but that just isn't the case.
Long and stressful, but sucessful, week at work. Three days of testing and everything was a SAT. Can;t complain with those results although had to study a lot during the week. ONly hit the gym Monday and Saturday this week. Priority has to be paying the rent.
So I did go to the doctor's office Friday. Took all the tests for .............. rhuematoid arthritis. Going to have to see what the results yeild. Docotor is recommending a specialist. Will be waiting and hoping on this one.
Got UFC 106 tonight at the local and should be in the gym in the morning.

How many fish oils are you taking? I didn't see a whole hell of a lot of relief from joint issues until I hit 8000 mgs/day as long as it's not a rheumatoid issue. You might try some spinach, kale or collards to help keep the gout issues at bay. And be damned careful with that refueling, they screwed the pooch at TMI, there was some sort of leak there.

I'm between 1-2000 mg of fish oil a day. I'm hoping it not RA, that will put a real damper on things, but the signs are not encouraging right now. Oh, TMI made fishing a lot better in PA.

I'm hoping not too bro, my cousin had juvenile RA when we were growing up and she was in serious pain most of the time. Try bumping up the fish oils a little to see what happens.
