Sweet gym. Still piecing mine together. Have equipment spread across two bedrooms. Just need to convince wife we need another big room added to the house. LOL

That's about 1000 movies on those shelves, which is a big reduction in what I used to have . And seriously, it'll take only a few more posts before someone posts a home gym that is 100x nicer. I'm just content with a cage..........

This home gym puts my work gym to shame...not that this is difficult to do.

I don't use no stinkin' 2.5 plates!
(actually, I have some in 1" plate size and OLY, but rarely use them )
There are a lot of members here that have REALLY killer home gyms. I'm just thankful for what I have...and I'm even more thankful every time I see another "Pissed about something that happened in my gym" thread. The only thing that happens in my home gym is...success or failure on lifts. It's that simple.

Well, my dear...that's simply a...um...room for free cookies! Yeah, that's it, free cookies!
Actually, it's somewhat an optical illusion; the door behind it is a door to the basement HVAC unit; a separate unit from the rest of the house....and somewhat overkill (Lennox 1/2 ton, 90% efficiency for barely over 1K SF).

dbx and or john...just curious what your approx investment in these gyms was and how long it took to get most of the stuff you wanted. My next home will no doubt have a home gym...working out at home seems priceless...no basement or room here

In my case, I have an approx 3300sf home. My gym is on one side/part of the basement. IMO, all anyone really needs is a rack/cage with a bench with a pulley system (I have it, despite the pic not showing it at the time taken). Cost? Geez...I don't know. Basic rack, OLY bar and say, 500lbs Oly plates, Power Tower... for easily under $800. Add a treadmill (mine is broken now..and I don't care ), EZ curl bar(s) etc, and you add more. It all adds up, but man, I wouldn't have it any other way. My time, my way, my sweat, my...whatever. No waiting. Priceless!

Very nice set ups, guys! All I have here is a Cross - Bow (BowFlex imitator), and some dumbbells. They hardly ever get used, though...... I really like the gym atmosphere! I think if I ever won the lottery, I would definitely have my own lavish gym, but I think I would still keep my gym membership. There's something motivating about being around others who are weight training. I learn a lot from watching others, and I like helping other people who ask me for advice. And I'd be lying if I said I didn't like people watching me work out..... it's the closet narcissist in me I guess!
(Come on, admit it! There's a little show - off in all of us..... )
