K- been browsing this tread for a bit. I just started the diet on monday.
Just to give you guys some background on me. Played football in high school was suppose to play college ball and blew my knee out! So after fixing it i just went to college and competeted in powerlifting events. Got crazy strong for my age- but gained a lot of fat ( im an endomorph)
A couple years back i decided that lifting crazy amounts of weight was not what i wanted to do any more and wanted to be more fit and healthy. So i decided to cut but i wanted to keep as much stregnth as possible. i started a high protein moderate carb but healthy carb diet.
Did great on it ( dropped from around 275 to 205 with not much strenght lose- beleive it or not)
For the last 6 months I have been hovering around the 205 to 210 mark so I hit a platue.
I really want to stay around the weight i am now or maybe 10-15 pounds or so lighter and just concentrate on getting rid of body fat and helping me keep my muscle. So I think this diet will be a really good shock to my body to start burning up the fat.
So i am about 3 days in and I feel really great mostly. get a little tired from time to time but it is no big deal at all. My big problem is i hate long low intesity cardio but i am going to try it out. But i got to where i am today by running around 3 miles a day/ 5 times a week so if the low intesity doesnt work I will most likely just start running again. i dunno!
Anybody else incorporate higher intesity cardio instead of the low intesity

hey Goon, you seem to be the resident pro on this diet these days. Is Optimum Nutrtion Whey w/ 3grams carbs per 24 Grams of protein, not a good source for Whey?
Also, I thought from reading your previous post that Cinammon Bun and Cake Batter All-the-Whey were what you have been using?

really? What is a chicken tenderloin? I basically just eat half of a chicken's full breast which is about 250grams - 8oz. and in fit day, I get almost 8 grams of fat, 288 calories.
I just want to make sure all the info fit day is giving me is right as I was shocked when I looked at your pic.

ON isn't the best.
if you are following something similar to the diet outlined in the OP, 2 scoops of ON = 6 grams of carbs which has potential to kick you out of ketosis in one sitting.
I suppose if you were having only one scoop it would be fine, but it still adds up over the day

The tenderloin is an especially tender cut of meat due to its infrequent use. following the general rule that muscles closer to the spine are more tender as they are not exercised as frequently as others.
this is located under the breast of the chicken and will be weakly attached to the breast when the chicken breast is removed. it will be long and slender with dimensions comparable to a finger.

Haha, I went through a 5lb of cake batter (AMAZING!) I am finishing my 5lbs of Cinnamon Bun (also AMAZING!) Both work fine for this diet.
I've also tried
10lbs Scivation Whey Chocolate
2lbs Sytrax Nectar Carrbian Cooler
2lbs Sytrax Nectar Twisted Cherry
5lbs ATW Mint Chocolate
5lbs ATW Chocolate
5lbs
Sample of MGN chocolate
The only ones I would buy again are MGN, ATW Chocolate and Scivation whey.
The cinnamon bun I am eating has 2 carbs but I think they make a cinnamon bun isolate with 1 carb.
Any protein with under 2 or less carbs per scoop should work fine. You WILL be able to use that ON whey but it is not ideal and may make it harder for you to stay under 40g carbs.

I am using the Isolate, is the concentrate better tasting? The Cinnamon Bun and the Cake batter aren't as good as I thought from reading the thread. I think ON Chocolate Malt is the best tasting of them all. But it does have the additional carbs.

im already down to precheat weight so I should be able to tell how it does. I bought breakfast sausage and ground pork!
also trying 75% reduced fat cheese. Kind of gross.

I went from ~14 to ~10 in 5 weeks. You should be able to do that.
BTW can you guys list some meats that don't need to be cooked and are easily prepared?
