How Much Fluctuation Between Cut / Bulk?
I have been working out with weights for over 10 years, but over the past couple of years I have really upped the intensity and paid close attention to diet. I feel like I'm finally making some good progress after years at a standstill. I found fitday and started tracking my calories and this has helped me to lose some fat. I train hard and would like to add some more muscle eventually.
My goal right now is fat loss, because I still have some awful "cottage cheese thighs" from years of bad eating habits. I've got some good muscle and shape on these legs, just an ugly layer of cellulite on the backs of my thighs. I'm hoping I can lower my bf so I can finally like my legs again!
My question to those of you that are more experienced is this: when you cycle through bulking, then cutting, how many pounds does your weight fluctuate? Also, how long is the duration of a typical cut, or bulk?
I am not preparing for competition, just want to take my fitness to the next level. I want to begin cutting and bulking, just not sure how it all works.
Any advice/comments are appreciated. I've been lurking around this site for quite awhile. I've found much inspiration and information here. Thanks in advance!
