I made up the name because I didn.t know the real name for the exercise. I grabbed a barbell, stood and bent over without bending my knees. It stretches and works that hamstring like you wouldn.t believe.
I was lacking on the hams until just now!

Every thing I put in my mouth today!
Food diary:
M1: Coffee, potato, chicken breast = 310
M2: 1/4C. Oatmeal, protein powder, grapes = 260
M3: Shrimp, yogurt, 1/4C bran = 220
M4: Chicken breast, 1/2C butternut squash, 1tbsp low fat butter = 230
M5: Banana, protein powder, 1/2C. Soy milk, 1/2C. Spaghetti squash, cheese, 2 perrogies = 550
M6: Cottage cheese, chai tea, = 270
Total: 1840 cals
My back workout was similar to last time. I didn.t really feel it, though. Just something about the workout didn.t feel right.
30 min. eliptical

I.m very upset at the moment.
I.ve noticed a re occurring pain in my tricep tendon in my right arm and i think I.m developing tricep tendinitis. I use my right arm to compensate for my left arm because I work, I have to haul 65lb crates of milk and what not with just the one arm. As a result, I think it.s hurting me because I do a workout right after.
I.ve made the very difficult decision to stop working out for 3 weeks and only doing lower body. I.m very, very deterred at the moment and I just feel that everything is standing in the way of my dreams.
Nonetheless, I.m getting a new job to avoid such because bodybuilding means way more to me than some crappy store job.
I want some chocolate

I understand where you are coming from. But don't give up. I like your idea of keeping up with the lower body exercises. You can do legs and core. When 3 weeks are up you will have the muscle memory to get back to where you were quickly.
You are well suited for bodybuilding, to have the muscle mass and leanness that you have already. You seem to have the genetics to become HUGE in this sport. You can do this Rachel.

Thanks so much, Brian. You actually made me feel a lot better I think I.m just pushing myself too hard. When I get back into it, I need to learn to pace myself. No more weeks on end without a day off.
For now, I.ll just have to suffice with cardio - bleh.

Yes, the muscle needs to rest to grow. I know you want this badly but you have to approach this smartly. Do you do your own workouts or do you have a trainer helping you?

You still very young and have a long way to go. Plenty of time to fill those dreams. This is a minor bump and there will be more along the way. Keep focused and you'll get through.

Yeah, I see that all now, a little too late, but better than never.
My trainer just showed me the exercises once, since I can.t afford anymore than that. Though, when I do recover, I.m going to pay her to show me the proper way all over again. Just to be certain because I have a feeling that I.m not keeping good form on some of my workouts. I got alot of them off of Youtube.

It don't stop you. Like others said, it's just a bomp, we all get them. Let it rest, heal, recover and you'll come back better than ever.

Thanks,Sophie, I just have to keep reminding myself that.
As for today, I.ve been a little depressed. Work has been severely limited and I have to go to the doctor first thing on Monday to fill out Workers comp forms. But at least I didn.t do any lifting today.
I.ll do leg day on monday and some cardio tomorrow as well.
I ate a little more chocolate than I should today, but hey, it.s Halloween and my cheat day, so there ya go :P

Any more and we'll have to have an intervention!

So I did something embarassing. As I was walking on the treadmill, I was trying to take a swig of my water bottle but too much came out and it all poured my nose and I choked a little. A bunch of water went spraying out of my nose :P Thankfully only one person saw.
Still depressed today, even more so that I woke up with a really stiff shoulder.

Went to the doctor. He told me I shouldn.t have even been weight lifting this whole time despite what the other doctor said. So basically, I just screwed myself over all these months. He said I can return to light weights on December 15th, but we.ll see.
I can.t help but feel very depressed. I have no life apart from weight lifting and taking that away from me is taking away my only hobby, really. I have no friends that I can hang out with and no hopes of getting a boyfriend.
I.m once again defeated, but I do have some hope.

You are NOT defeated. You have a SMALL setback. A month and a half of rest then you are back. You have lots of friends here to talk to. YOu can start doing more research on diets and workout programs so that when you are ready to go at it again, you will be ready to kick some major ass!
Never give up!!! we are behind you all the way Rachel!

I know!!! I had maybe 7 kids for halloween because most of their parents wouldn.t let them go out because of the Swine flu. I think it.s ridiculous. Everyone that has ever gotten the swine flu told me it.s not that bad. I don.t want to wait 5 hours in a line up to get the shot. I already waited 4 hours in the doctor.s office.

It can hold a lot more than that. I.ve seen some of the guys use big 100lb plates on there. Fortunately for the guy that loaded my weights up yesterday, I only got him to put 45lb plates. It was kindda embarassing to ask him to put the weights on there for me.

So I talked to my trainer. She gave me the name of a great ointment that feels like I just rubbed a **** load of Ben Gay on my shoulder. But I feel NO pain. It.s super cold feeling Chinese ointment that is suppose to deteriorate scar tissue in the muscles as well as reducing swelling.
And I.m hiring her for a couple hours once I get better to show me all the upper body workouts all over again just to make certain I get proper form.
For the next 6 - 8 weeks, I.m going to focus on weight loss and when I get back, I.ll up my calories to a mini bulking diet. By darn, I.m going to do it!!!!!
