There is a guy at my gym that dose what appears to be HIIT before he lifts and he always has a good workout. he gets on the treamill and increases the incline, runs as hard as he can for like a min, lowers it, and fast pased walks for a min, the raises it back up... etc... but that treadmill is COVERED in sweat when he's done....
I personally can only do a HIIT properly after or on an off day... or else I slack or just don't have the strengh most days!
