Boost is back for round 2 with Musclespeed

well its been a while since ive been around, this summer has just been crazy and ive hardly even trained at all..
I started back in the gym 2 weeks ago and i need a way to stay motivated, what better way to do that then log one of my favorite products..
This is the new improved musclespeed as im told(thanks rob).
why i choose to log musclespeed is simple. i work all morning and im worn out by the time i get to lift at night, i need some motivation if im going to do this competition november 7th,
im big into powerlifting and bodybuilding so my trainings a little twisted..

ive got a bench and deadlift competition the 7th of november so i need to stay focused .

i was 270lbs and extremely strong this last spring.
I currently weight 230lbs, ive never competed this light before, or been this weak at the competitions, so itll be sorta messed up for me lol. but im gonna do it..

Todays workout:
------------------------------------------------
flat bb bench press: 135x10 225x10, 315x3, 330x1,
----------------------------------------------
flat bb board 2 board press: 340x3, 350x2
----------------------------------------------------
close grip bb bench press: 135x20, 225x10, 225x10
--------------------------------------------------
superset:
dips: bodyweight x 10 x 3
standing cable flys: 70lb x failure x 3
----------------------------------------

my diet is just starting to get clean and well rounded again, ill post that up in the next day or two

Nothing wrong with your strength. 465 is a helluva good lift. What are you hoping to pull in the meet?

He doesn't look like he's lost much strength. Not bad for a guy who hasn't trained all summer and has been in the gym for a little more than a couple of weeks.

yeah i went 4-5 musclespeeds just to try it because I know how high my tolerance is.. even if i dont have stimulants for long peroids of time i still have a crazy high tolerance..
I noticed no difference in effects from 2 musclespeed at a serving to 5-6 musclespeeds at a serving, so ill be staying at 2..
I am noticing somthing different about the musclespeed this time though. I wont comment until im for sure

still strong but i feel like a bitch. i just keep thinking about how strong i was before and how big i was even though I didnt feel that way.. This winters going to be fun putting all my weight back on..
IM already cracking the 230lb mark again so I should be at a steady weight gain for a while as my muscle memory kicks back in.

There was a really big musclular power lifting looking guy 280-290lb firefighter at my gym last night training chest.. I was stronger than him in all of the movements he did. he was maybe late 30s so he had muscle maturity and just looking massive on his side. but still made me smile when he was doing 100lb dumbells on incline and having problems, im still throwing them around like baby weights.

not sure on squats tonight yet or not. might do them thursday or this weekend, my body is hella sore from yesterday, still not used to the lifting yet.. i feel like a bitch LOL..

I forgot to add on there that I did cardio last night as well..

Reminds me of a thread on here- do you wanna look badass in the gym, or outside? Most want to look badass the 23 hours a day in the real world.
Buuuut....I can carry a good ego boost(this) from the gym all day. So I guess you go with what you got.

I guess your easing into to in a way. There were some minor formula changes between MS1 and MS2. What Rob sent over was MS2. MS3 is scheduled for sometime early Dec.

What a pain manufacturing can be sometimes. Had problems with obtaining one of the raws. The delays are giving me ulcers...

The BA in MS2 is not full dosed in two tabs. It was added because we saved some money in doubling the size of production, switching from caps to tabs, and rolling the saving into more ingredient. Of course, due to transport issues, more exact dosing, and adding more material, it was tabs were logical choice. Going forward, BA will be replaced... I realized, and despite expert recommendations, that proper dosing is more important than the impact BA would offer in two tabs.

Any way, it will be interesting to see how thing come along in here!

awesome!!!...

Well i didnt get to the gym wed due to my lower back being weird, went to chiropractor thursday and then i got to the gym tonight..

workout:
---------------------------------------
barbell back squats: 135x10, 225x10, 275x10, 315x6
first time doing squats all summer lol.
---------------------------------------------------
close grip bench press from chest level on squat rack, stopping 100% each rep to take pressure off then exploding up:
135x10, 225x6, 265x6, 285x2, 295x2
im doing these to help with my sticking point on chest level on bench press
-------------------------------------------
seated dumbell militarys: 70lb x 10, 80lb x 10, 90lb x 10, 100lb x 7
im pretty weak on these but first time doing them since spring lol..
----------------------------------------------------------------
superset:
reverse 1 arm tricep pushdowns:, 50lb, 60lb, 70lb, 80lb, 10 reps each set minus the 80lb i only managed a couple
side lateral dumbell raises: 20lb, 30lb, 35lb to failure each set
--------------------------------------------------------------
Plate workout to finish;
45lb plate held above head for 10 seconds, then 10 reps, then hold above for 10 seconds, 10 reps, 10 seconds, then side lateral plate raises: 15lbs each hand reps to failure
this was done twice.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

musclespeed is definitly keeping me more focused at night.. i dont think id have the energy to workout as hard as I have the few days this week without it. I am tired by the time bedtime comes also so its not keeping me up taking it this late at night.

More good workouts.
Its kinda scary how strong you are. I wonder what a year of solid hardcore training would do to you?

Unrelated: got your Halloween costume yet?

workout today:---------------------------------
bent over barbell rows: 135x10, 135x10, 185x10, 225x10, 225x10, 275x10, 275x10
------------------------------------------------------------------
T bar rows narrow grip, with padding on chest holding me in place:
4 plates x 10, 5 plates x 10, 6 plates x 8
----------------------------------------------
hammer strength preacher curls, top 1/2 ROM: 2 plates x failure reps x 30 seconds rest x 3 sets
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Superset
preacher hammer curls: 40lb dumbell x failure x 3 sets slow and controlled reps
pullover machine: full stack x 3 sets x failure, very slow and controlled reps
zero rest inbetween sets, just back and fourth between excersizes until done.
------------------------------------------------------------------

Its nice working out at 10am again for a change, too bad i work during the week so I cant lift that early.. Musclespeed and morning workout kicked my ass good, tons of energy all the way through my workout, I felt alot stronger on my bent over barbell rows than what I feel as if i can still go heavier than that without jeopordizing my form.

cant wait to see how the next few weeks go..
My first contest of the winter is only a week away, one more chest workout monday that'll blow me away. Ive gotta stop doing board presses and see where im at lol

Well today was pretty messed up day, i was so tired when i got done with work i could have slept.. i took some musclespeed about 4:15pm and i went to the gym at 5..
after a few warmup sets i felt great and very focused and energized.. I went a little nuts today i guess lol...

-----------------------------------------------------------------
flat barbell bench press: 135x3, 225x3, 315x2, 335x1, 345x1, 365x1 on a 2 board, 375x1 on 2 board. 335x5 on 2 board with 1 negative after
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
incline barbell press: 225x10x3
--------------------------------
circuit
side lateral dumbell raises- 20lb dumbells 3 sets to complete failure each set
close grip bench press 225x complete failure x 3 sets
front lateral raises: 20lb dumbells to complete failure, 3 sets
---------------------------------------------------------

not going too nuts today but nuts enough.. my contest is on saturday and im still not sure if im going to bench or not.. ive gone up 10lbs more raw this week than last week which is a good thing, but i think i just need a little more time for my strength to come back. im going to be competing next month and in january as well so maybe ill just concentrate on the one next month, use this competition as a warmup for my bench and deadlift.
I can feel myself being stronger by the day as well as my muscularity and shirts starting to get tighter... People are commenting already..

my diet has been key on since i started this log.. ive been consistantly consuming 100g natty fats per day, 450g protein, 600g carbohydrates.. i made a typo when i first wrote a little bit about my diet and said 200g a couple meals, but i usualy dont go over 100g per meal at least not until im a little bigger again..

again i wanna thank the guys at musclespeed for helping me out and letting me log their product.. Really i needed a log to help me get my head back into lifting and i havent had much focus all summer up until now.. the musclespeed helps alot, no matter how long my day at work is and how tired i am, i can still wake up and get some focus when I need it.. the original musclespeed never really hyped me up, nore does this one, but i am awake with it, and the focus is what i love most about this.. I have a hard time focusing on things usualy but while taking musclespeeed i dont

Rob gave up a bottle from his own stash, so I too thank Rob!

You very fortunate in that MUSCLESPEED does not over-hype you, because given that you take a full dose in the afternoon, your still able to sleep at night. No supp can deliver the restorative powera of a good nights sleep. I've been kinda running on 5-6 hours on most days for a bit now.. That's got to change.

So, how's is you back holding up so far?

It's great to see you back in the swing of things. You set some goals by way of comps, you're running a log, serious lifting, and a clean diet. I'd say your definitely back in business. The rest will come back over the course of a month or two.

The rest will come back over the course of a month or two.
yeah rob is just trying to get in my pants, thats why he gave it up to me ....

theres only really one suppliment on the market right now that hypes me up and I wont be advertising them in this thread ..

my backs been holding up fairly well.. I had some issues back when we went to the Indy 500, it was an 8 hour car ride, my hip/si joint area never really recovered 100% from then..
Its been getting gradualy better as im lifting again so thats good luck.. I dont wanna have to re-enact what happend last winter when i popped my SI out lol.

considering where im at strength wise, my goals are to keep getting consistantly stronger till im back to my appropriate weights being thrown around, but be at a lighter than 275lb weight class this time..
if i cannot be competitive at a lighter weight class ill be moving back to the 275lb or heavier to compete

well I beat the living snot out of my abs & obliques yesterday...
today and tomorow ill be taking off and just making sure i get as many calories as possible.. i wanna make sure im fully replenished for the weekend if i decide to compete saturday.

got on the scale this morning on an empty stomach and i weighed 234lbs.. weight gain is going great.. im constantly getting comments again about my upper body size getting bigger..
also i am a mechanic and I have to wear these blue pants at work, they are getting tight on me, we'll have to get a larger size soon.. so some of my leg size is definitly coming back..
my waiste still measures the same, bodyfat appears to be going down..

still taking my musclespeed in the AM and late afternoon...

contest was today.. i sucked balls on my bench but my deadlift was where i wanted it for this bodyweight..

bench warmup: 135x10, 225x5, 315x1
opener: 315x1, 2nd attempt 335x1 FAILED.
i didnt take a 3rd attempt.. no point in being taxed and trying..

deadlift warmup: 135x10, 225x5, 315x5, 415x2
opener: 450x1, 2nd attempt 475x1, 3rd attempt 500x1.

barely got the 500 but i wasnt letting go of the bar.. it felt like it took forever to pull it as i was stuck just below knee level, but i got it..

Now back to regular training for a few weeks till a contest in december I might do

your right man. it was good job.. i shouldnt be as dissapointed as i am with my performance..

in january at this competition i opened with 500lbs on my deadlift and ended at 600lbs, my bench i opened with 390 ended at 425.
but i have to take into consideration i was weighing 270lbs at the time, and i had been training hard for almost a year with zero breaks..

ive been training like a month again now and ive only deadlifted a handfull of times, along with only benching a handfull of times.. so id say i did decent.

im going to the gym sometime today to hammer out some abs and obliques, maybe some calfs or somthing else i dunno yet lol
