Crushed it! I couldn't eat today thanks to Chuck. We have created a new fat burner launching in January and it obliterated my appetite. Amazing stuff! My workout was great and my weight is stable at 202. I have added in the PWO carbs. At my next stick point, I will add carbs later in the day as well. My goal is to get up to 8 meals with 50p, 15f and 60c and to stay lean and get huge. This would make me a thermogenic, FULL and never hungry machine.

Time to grow! In two years, we WIN Nationals and get that IFBB Pro Card!!

This would depend ALOT on your weight training experience..

DC is a GREAT program and CHA is a GREAT diet, but you honestly need a boatload of lifting experience to make this work. IMO

IMO timing doesn't matter. You get one free meal a week, wherever that may fall is up to you

The last meal of the day is probably best because most people have a hard time on not cheating for the rest of the day after a cheat meal.

Not That I am Derek. But here is the description.


Prone DB Shrugs:

Prone DB shrugs done lying on an incline bench allow you to hit the middle and lower fibers of the traps to a greater degree than the standard shrug. Instead of shrugging the weight straight up when standing, you want to squeeze the mid-back/traps together to lift the DBs on this exercise.

This was a great session! I slammed some serious weights and was focused and pumped! My elbows are a bit sore so my dumbbell presses were a bit off, but I still used the heaviest dumbbells there!

I am getting stronger and also looking leaner. My body is filling out and I have never felt better. My goal is to maintain this level of conditioning and also build some great lean mass. I will have to gain some fat in the long run to gain lean mass, but plan on keeping it very minimal and to always be in guest posing and photoshoot shape.

I am dropping to six meals for convenience and eating more veggies like broccoli. I will also start adding some more slow carbs to my diet and will see how I respond. My abs have crazy veins in them still and to me, that is a sign that I can afford more calories and to be honest, I can't be too anabolic when lean enough to have crazy ab veins! It is time to add some muscle, and that requires calories!

I had the opportunity of having dinner with a fellow business owner in the sport nutrition industry last night who also had a family. We got to talking about our beliefs in God and our ethics and values. We then got to talking about some other people in this industry and life in general. Then we both spoke of the unfortunately common "Sunday Christian". We have all met some of these. Every other word is a Godly one, and then you find out they are cheating on their wife and are doing not as they say. Thus, this callout goes to all Jesse Jackson-esque, bible-breaking lookin" boys.

If you remember, the good Christian Jesse Jackson got caught in an affair with a lovechild, or a bastard depending on how you like to word it, a couple of years back. The "Reverend" though is somehow still in the news as a leader.

As a God-believing individual, this makes me sick. How do we hold these hypocrites in such high prestige? How do we forgive this inexcusable behavior?

I had dinner a few years back with another company owner in the industry. He sat down, made us all say a prayer to thank Jesus for our meal, then went on to flirt with the waitress and tell of us his sexual escapades with various women. Oh yeah, these women were not his wife....yes, he was married! He then got divorced over it, another sin! Ahhhhhhh!

It is time to put the World's dwindling code of ethics on blast. I am sick and tired of hypocrisy in religion. If you preach the good word, live by it! And before cheating on your wife or husband, think about how much it will hurt them and destroy your family WHEN (they WILL find out sooner or later) they find out. They always find out. And even if they don't, unless you are not human, it will eat at your soul and destroy your life to live the lie.

I have been with my wife since high school. We were both virgins when we met. Yes, we are both eachother's only partner ever. I would never cheat on my wife. Not because I love God, which I do, but because I love her.

Whatever your religion or if you even have one, think about others' feelings before you act. How will your actions make them feel? And if you do speak the word, live it! Nothing makes me more sick than hypocrites! Especially of the religious kind. And don't fool yourself, if you cheat on your spouse and you believe in hell, no amount repenting will get you out of it, have fun in hell.

Back injury...

Well I re-injured my back yesterday during seated cable rows on the 1st rep of the set (which I should have been able to get 10 reps with). I leaned forward to grab the bar and as I was leaning back and pulling the bar into the starting position I got a shooting pain in my lower back. I immediately stopped the set as I knew my back was injured. This was the same exact feeling as when I had strained my back on deadlifts almost 1 full year ago. I iced my back all day yesterday hoping that I would wake up today and it wouldn't be as bad, but it is pretty bad, beyond painful. I was going to take this week off no matter what my back felt like this morning, but now I am thinking about taking this week and next week off just to give me body some extra recovery time. This sucks because I was progressing so well lately. I have been training smart, but I have been slacking on my pre-workout lower back dynamic stretching... So I will be icing my back all day, taking some extra Elastamine and Cissus, and sipping on a couple Solution 5 shakes because the pain takes away my appetite. This injury feels exactly the same as the one a year ago so I should be ok by Monday but I am probably going to take next week off as well.

We sell T shirts at our church that read "No PERFECT people allowed"

We invite everyone to come hear the message. Gay, straight, bi, athiest, drug addict, alcoholic, prostitute....EVERYONE. We are ALL imperfect and if we had to walk around with our sins on the front of our shirts all of us would be embarrassed to go outside.

Jesus didn't sit in a church for 30 years and tell people they were doomed even though he had every right to because he was perfect. He hung out with the normal people. People that need and deserve to hear His message.

We all (my self included) need to put ourselves on blast and realize that we are no better than anyone on the face of this earth. /rant
