Bill Starr 5x5 program
I did just read the sticky and the link didn't work does anyone have the correct link?
- Bill Starr 5x5 aka Madcow 5x5: I love this one. It's for an intermediate lifter and the focus of this program is to get you strong as quickly as possible. And it works.
And, so this program is basically strength + getting bigger?

Yeah it's a strength program geared for intermediates (ie, weekly progress instead of workout-to-workout). You'll obviously get bigger as well. You would be better off going with something like Starting Strength though and eating a lot so you can take advantage of beginner gains.
Anyway, when I heard geocities was shutting down I copied all his stuff so it wouldn't be forever lost. Not sure if all the links work because I just saved what he had.

Well, I've been lifting for about 1month now, and improved my strength by a lot but I figured that I was doing a routine that people that got about 2-3 years experience should do.
And thanks for the link, I'll check that out.

Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe is a highly recommended beginner program that focuses on workout-to-workout progression as Miketoc said. Here is the link:
Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe (Kethnaab's write-up)

It's okay, but please re-read my post...perhaps the words in parentheses will suffice.

Okay, since it is pretty clear that you are illiterate, my post says, "Kethnaab's write-up" in parentheses. Go back and re-read again. If you were specifically looking for the word, "variation," then you were correct in that your post is "kind of anal."
Anyway, I'm done with this thread. You can stay here and babble about the word, "variation" if you wish; I do not care.
Mike

Hah. Way to take offense there, Tiger. I just wanted it clear to the OP that Kethnaab's write-up is not actually Mark Rippetoe's program, it's different. Don't get your panties in a bunch.
As for illiteracy:

That implies he wrote-up the actual program, which he didn't. I'm glad you're done with the thread so I can clear up the confusion. Go me.

Why are you being such a dick? The link said Kethnaab's write up. You blind or something?
