Average price for a cup of cottage cheese? Expensive, or is it just me?

I was wondering what price you guys get your cottage cheese for. I live in Canada, Ontario and get it at $1.33/1 cup and in a 750mL container at most; I haven't found any size bigger than that. This, imo, seems pretty expensive since it basically ends up at $1.50 or so for a cup of cottage cheese after tax.

I'm right next door, in Michigan. It's typically $1.79-$2.19 for a 24 ounce container here.

I pay $3.79 for a standard size of Breakstone's Cottage Cheese. I think it is 24oz size., whatever the size that has 6 servings has in it.

Serving size is 1/2 cup, so it must have 3 cups total.

I guess I pay $1.25 per cup for mine.

If I get the store brand, I hate their low-fat cottage cheese, and can only stand their full-fat cottage cheese. I think I save about a dollar though when I buy the store brand...so it's like $.93 per cup (but I'd rather pay $1.25 and get the good stuff)

yeah cottage cheese is expensive... I think a tub is like $3 plus and that is good for 2 "servings" (man sized servings). Consequently I don't buy it that much... it sounds like costco has a good deal however.
