the person within themselves, their soul. the person who believes who they are will always be in control, simply because they truly believe themselves.
without a soul or with a soul, its all about mind control, if u dont have proper mind control, u cannot control urself as much as responding to situation...instead u react to it and that reaction could cause destruction and chaos.

u just said having a body, which outside of this world is beyond our control.
a t-virus is one example, its a viral thing and it effects the body, transmutation disease. whatnot.
like cancer. for example. u fight for it, or u lose. sometimes it is out of control like terminal which has 98% chance of killing u no matter what.
so this is where technology comes in play, desperate times for desperate measures.
but then again u could always work ur control trying to overcome it. mind over matter.

urself, only, no one else. ure the one in control ure the one who makes the choices. the path of the mind is like a forked road. or a straight line. depending the income and outcome of it.
