Heres my stats, what is my BF% estimate?
Wassup, this is my first post here but i have been a member for a while now. My main thing is that in march, i began a body overhaul starting at 287 pounds with a 40 inch waist at 6'3. Through heavy lifting, cardio, and 4-6 meals a day i am now down to 229llbs wearing 32 jeans and thick cable veins on my shoulders, chest, bis, calfs, and quads. My waist measurement to my navel is 33", and my neck is 17.5" at the base. My Bi's are 17.5. calves 18, and quads 26. My stomach is extremely flat but i still have some extra skin(i think) keeping my abs from poking out.But when i take a pic in the mirror, you can definitely see their outline.
Given this information, what BF % would be an accurate guess? My only goal right now is getting those abs showin!
Thanks guys

If you post a picture you'll probably get better estimates.

if i use the online Navy calculator its says 11% , and thats what my buddy thinks too. I mean 229 pounds with a 32 waist and freaky veins, i cant be over 14 right? How many guys that weigh 229-230 wear 32 jeans? and i thought being super vascular was a sign of low BF?

Sorry, but you're nowhere near what you and your "buddy" think.

A picture says it all.
Frankly, measurements can be so subjective. Are you really a full 75 inches tall barefoot? Are your other measurements spot on or a little generous?
Based on the measurements given, you are definitely in the "BEAST" range. Let's see a picture!!!

then why'd you ask at all? there's a more direct way to showboat than to fish for compliments like you have in your not-as-subtle-as-you-think way. even straight up bragging is more respectable than what you're doing.
anyways in the off chance that you actually did want some honest feedback:
you have a lot of muscle mass that hides the fact that you have significant body fat too...if you cut, you would look very ripped. as far as your abs not showing despite veins in your biceps etc., that's because we have different genetic makeups...some people have visible abs but less vascularity in their arms at higher percentages and vice versa. the only way to get both is to reduce bf% even more to suit your genes.

i edited my post before you responded to it with actual feedback so read that first...as far as an actual number i'd say anywhere from 12-14%.

I'd say closer to 20 than 12... But, I'm sure there are many others more qualified to judge than me.

And this is why I get trainers to use calipers on me and I use the BodPod monthly. No need for thse "here is what I look like" then "post pics" then "here are my pics, but I swear I just ate and the freakish veins I described are nowhere to be found" type of threads.

lift as heavy as u can for 8-10 reps, eat 4-7 times a day. start each day with a 45-60 gm protein drink, and have another post workout. thats 120gm of protein right there! than th rest of the day, i would eat omelets, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, turkey sausage, all bran cereal with splenda and FF milk, nuts, ezekial bread, natty PB, etc etc. My main rule was not to have high carbs past 8pm or so because i wouldnt burn them off. Once you really set your mind to controll ur body, than the rest is just the patience to see the results.
I am at that point now where the BF% is harder to lower, but it will happen cuz my mind will not let me backslide

easily...
edit: the only thing is, it looks like you literally have no abs. You would need to build some serious abdominal mass on a BULK before they're really gonna come through when you cut.
Either way looking good man, keep up the hard work. Stop lying about your vascularity though you asshat.

Hey man, congrats! Where you started is where I am right now. I'm 283 and have a 40inch waist. I'm trying to find something that works for me to drop the weight.
What was your workout routine? how much/what type of cardio did u do?

basically just like u hear. 5-7 meals, high protein and lots of cardio and weights 3 -4 days a week. oh yeah and CLA works wonders for me.
Do you guys think i should do heavy DEADS to get that ab mass that i need?
