Boy....talk about going off the wagon ;)
I have been running a especially strict diet and training regimen for a while now. I recently switched over to a slow 'cut' in which I have been trying to limit carbs to about 100 g/ day. It has been a long time since I just let go...and last night was a good start.
My buddy had his annual Halloween party and as usual he pulled out all the stops. I started out being 'good' drinking Mic Ultras.....but the night soon shifted when the Jello shots came out. . Then I went to the punch...and lets just say it was not Hi-C! It was all over from there.
After a while, all the appetizers started looking soo good! Bread sticks, chips and dip, little mini pizza's, mini weenies....yes I sampled quite a few of all of them. (Most more then once...think I ate a whole tray of mini pizzas). I danced the night away till 3am working some of it off....but I hardly think I maintained my caloric deficit.
Woke up this morning, and there is nothing more that I love when hung over then some McDonalds! Told my wife, "why dont we take the kids to McDonalds for lunch" and it was on! I ate a 10piece nugget combo and polished off the extra fries that my kids did not eat out of their meals. . Had a refill of Coke (Love cokes but have completely cut out soda out of my normal diet). Mcdonalds Coke is always the best!
Came home and napped.....woke up and knew my wife was tired so I asked her if she wanted me to run out and pick up some chinese. Lets see.... beef lo mien, chicken and broccoli, general tso's chicken and a order of fried wantons.......and an egg roll. Ate the egg roll, sampled some of all the rest and polished off all the fried wantons by myself! And.....drank two more cokes!
After dinner I ate 2 Kit-kats from the candy bowl I am getting ready to dish out tonight .
I think I have had enough...... I am feeling VERY refreshed!
Back to normal tomorrow. I have been running low on carbs for a few weeks. Ingesting all that food, I can almost feel like a small pump coming on even though I have not worked out today. It feels kinda good actually.
Heck....if I am going off the wagon....I am gonna do it right!
Happy Halloween!!!

I find it healthy to indulge yourself like this once in a while.
You can restrict yourself endlessly but does it really get you the results you want? You would think that endless dieting would make you thinner or more cut or whatever but its not really true.
Your body told you that you needed something and you gave into it which is the way it is supposed to work.
Look at pro body builders. they can get as cut as diamonds for a contest but dont stay like that year round.
You are a disciplined person so its not like you just got drunk and went crazy. You listened to your body and gave it what it needed. the booze just help you realize it and loosen up enough to give in.
I say good job on your part.
Your body wont turn every bit of that to fat. there has to be some muscle gowth as well.

I like your logic......I just wish my wife would buy into it cause there were a few other things at the party my body needed! ..... Mainly the female cop in the white platform shoes, the french maid,....and the school girl in the white knee high socks with a skirt that showed half her ass when she danced!!!

A cheat meal is one thing, a day of gluttony is another. Props if this does something good for you, I don't think I ever ate that much crap in a single day when I was fat - wouldn't brag about it.

I did something like this a few months ago. Busted my diet good. It got me into a non-exercise, non-diet, who-cares spiral that it took me months to recover from. I gained about ten pounds and lost a lot of muscle tone and size as a result.
We live and learn, and if I feel like falling off the wagon again, I'll binge for just one meal - knowing that it's for one meal only. I'll know I'm still in control later, which makes all the difference for me.
Also, I'm trying to encourage my wife to lose some weight, and if I went off the wagon like this, I think it would justify the c*** she eats and it would be forever before I saw her trying to diet again.

For a complete analysis, pictures of these things will need to be provided.

I hear ya.....well it probably was not the best for my body....but it certainly re energised my mind!
All kidding aside.....I actually looked quite good today. Woke up slightly dehydrated. Abs were showing pretty good. Good vascularity.
Now as I ate all the food, it was as if I could feel it filling up my muscles. I did a heavy upper body workout before going out and I could feel that my body was very low on carbs. I generated almost no pump and felt flat all over. (remember I have been keeping carbs low)
After all this eating, my veins in my bis, and forearms all start to 'pop' as if I am working out. I literally could feel a small pump type feeling all through my body. I am excited for Mondays deadlift day as I have been feeling a little 'flat' on my cut. Should be a fun workout.
I am not bragging about this......I just was sharing a funny story....I have been playing it straight for a long time and I just needed a good blowout. In the long run....it is probably not the best thing......but I had one hell of a time....especially at the party. The eating like crap after ward is just always been the best way out of a hangover for me.
The way I was feeling this morning........Coke and McDonalds goes down A LOT easier then oatmeal and chicken breast!
Maybe not for everyone....and sorry if it bothers some....but it was just a good night....with good friends. I'll have to post some pics of getting 'sandwiched' dancing on tables and then you would understand .....it was a fun night!

I always look good when dehydrated, wish I could keep that look without eating a bunch of salty crap. I'm just envious of your day so playing your guilty conscience to make me feel better.
A bag of McD's fries and a large coke, been 4 years since I've had either, but it still sounds good.

Looks like you had a good time! Pics of the outfits please...
It causes no harm to pig out once in awhile and then get right back to good eating habits. Just don't use the word "b1tches" in your thread title like I did and get negged to -10,000 by a mod like I did when I announced my pigout and you will be fine.
We must all be very, very serious here and never, ever act any less than what others think is appropriate for our age.

Thanks ID! I was feeling guilty for eating a giant plate of pasta last night. First pasta in 4 months but I think it really helped with my lifts this morning.

Hah! Doesn't sound like you were that bad to be honest.
Saturday is my "leptin beatdown" day...I pretty much went crazy on the candy :/ Ate clean all day (albeit larger portions) then broke down at the leftover reese's peanut butter cups, hershey's dark chocolate bars and mounds. Chocolate dipped pretzels...hmm...there was some other stuff...I felt like like a dumbass...but I haven't had candy like this since last Halloween!
Today at the gym...I'm telling you...I was murdering the iron. Weights that I was gasping out 4-6 reps I was pumping out 10s and ready for more. Candy appears to be a good fix for low glycogen levels : )

I did something like that about 2-3 weeks ago.... been trying to cut for months and one night just ate everything in sight.. candy, ice cream, pizza.. it was glorious ! And the next day back to work. Of course,, I gained 4-5 pounds overnight .. so.. I'm not doing that anytime soon again !

Well, I thought I would try to redeem myself for going 'off the wagon' like I did.
Today was deadlift day and I thought I would try to put all those carbs to good use! I have been working back towards my goal of a 500+ lb deadlift again. (but taking it slowly and carefully as not to risk injury from moving too quickly).
Last week I saw an increase of 10 lbs....so this week I figured the carbs would be good for 20 more lbs on top of that!.... So I pulled 435 for 5 without issue.
I posted a video in a thread I had started about it if you guys want to see it. It is in this thread:

Anyway....I dont feel AS bad about going off the wagon now. I just know that cutting carbs SUCKS . I'm back on the wagon now.....but I sure do miss the carbs.
