Purt and I have a log going elsewhere but I thought this was too funny not to share with you all

Friday is one of my designated cheat days so the gf and I headed over to the local dinner after the gym. Salmon, Grilled snow peas and a small salad, with a Skinny Cow Ice Cream waiting for me at home. ( my cheats are lame).

THIS IS WHERE IT GETS GOOD!
The waiter goes through the dessert lists for my gf. KEY LIME PIE? That is my absolute favorite I hear myself say. I will take THAT.

So the waiter comes out with a slice of apple (gf) a slice of key lime for me, and a box. Puts the box on the table with the plate on top and say's "You are not allowed to say no, just take it and enjoy!" (HE GAVE ME THE ENTIRE PIE). Now I did not have the heart after this gesture to tell him in the middle of a fierce OBF transformation challenge, and am only allowed one cheat item and it is right back to eggwhites and protein shakes once I leave the dinner.

So I guess the snack stand at my son's football game will be serving key lime pie tomorrow!

I hate that, I can never say no to eating all of it because I hate wasting I always end up eating all of the dessert as well and feelign awful.

An entire pie? Must have been rough not to sit down with a fork and destroy it in one sitting. 8 weeks out from my show earlier this year, a friend placed an order with a local cookie delivery company to ship some warm cookies & milk to my work place. 1/2 dozen cookies and 2 pints of frosty milk. Of course I ate all of it - I could not resist.

Thats what its all about, even with myself, I've got one more year of 20's to go...Then its all down hill Dont want to be that pot bellied guy out on the beach/river that "used to have a good body"

I trained all through school, always having one of the better bodies in school, and being one of the strongest guys, but fell off the "health wagon" not too long after school... Went 8-9 years and never stepped into a gym....Went from about 180 when i graduated, to a whoping 240lbs.... I finally said enough was enough and hit the gym again... dropped 40lbs, got stronger, and was feeling good about myself again...

Then i changed jobs and my current job is rotating shift work with a fair amount of overtime that comes in extra 8 hr shifts.... I tried for a couple of weeks but found it almost impossible to do anything while on night shift.....We then went to 12hr days 7 days a week, so i flipped to night shift pretty much the whole time because i went to school some during the day.....That caused me to stop going to the gym..... just wasn't enough time and i was too tired...


almost 3 years later and i'm back now, making it work and hitting the gym pretty much everyday i don't have a 16 hr shift....I've gone from 196 right before the comp started down to 184, with my lifts going up every week still......


So for me too, this contest is more about motivation than winning..

Although the desire to win has kept me away from full on cheat meals for weeks

OK, I have done with these weekly carb ups. I take them away and start eating LOW CALORIES every day. I have been able to increase my lean body mass by 2 pounds. Now cardio + large deficit + high protein so that I lose 1.5 - 2 lbs per week.

Legs feel worked, that high volume workout didn't stress my nervous system but definitely causes some serious DOMS to my legs.
And Frankdaddy, high carbs make me feel tired, that's for sure.

I dont see myself squat down at all besides putting in work to keep from falling on my face.

It was not ego lifting, it was quit being a pussy lifting and Do Work! It's how progress is made in my books. Sometimes you have to try things to see if you are holding back or not, which I make sure I never do.

Wanted to stay in the game here another week to see if I could get the workouts in some kind of routine with the way my schedule has been. I actually had some decent workouts this past week- just turning the brain off while watching the World Series and just lifting. I can't even say how much I really worked out- I just know when the game is over I'm tired.

LOL - I hear ya, I drank last night as well (shame on me), but am currently gearing up for the gym.

It is strange on the rare nights I drink, the next morning I either feel like crap working out, or get in some of the best lifts... I have no clue why/how.
