think i may have partially torn or strained my pec
well its been about 2-3 months maybe longer and it hasnt gotten much worse but hasnt gotten any better either, its like right where my left pec and delt tie in it doesnt hurt when i do shoulders or anything just chest i havent been doing much flat bench and been doing incline which hurts when i get up to around 295 but not nearly as bad as flat bench, on flat it starts to hurt at 225 i was going to do a competion this saturday but last week tried some pauses i only went up to 335 and it was hurting pretty bad once i got it about 3-4 inches off my chest and i was planning to get at least 345-350 but i can still go heavy depending on how it feels that day it just hurts like hell even flat bumbell press hurts, its like a burning feeling and i read some of the symptoms
* Pain in the chest and upper arm
* Weakness in pushing the arms out in front of the body
* Bruising in the chest and arm
* A dimpling, or pocket, formed just above the arm pit where the rupture occurred
and there is a little pocket right above my arm pit and some weakness but i dont really know because i havent been flat benching much but ive actually got stronger on incline and the pain is mainly right in that area where the little pocket is, what do you guys think i should do take a few weeks off completely and not do chest at all? or just go really light and try to stick with movements that dont bother it as much like for instance my chest workout yesterday was
incline
135x10
185x10
225x8
275x6
then 2 work sets of 5 at 295 (this really botherd it around my 3rd rep on each set)
then for my last set 275x10
only went up to 65's on dumbell press (this did kinda bother it but i messed around with different positions of holding the dumbell and it wasnt as bad) sets of 12 supersetted with cable flys
then incline hammer strength machine really light sets of 12-15
i was thinking something like this for a month or so only not as heavy on incline id go down to 275... any suggestions?
