If you're looking for a GHR look here
Was browsing and ran into this. I like GG and I bought a couple of stuff from them. This GHR is made by Legend Fitness and has a crazy price tag.

Wow...that's nice, but with shipping to NJ this is almost 5 bills. I guess still not too bad, but I will hopefully, in some near future find something cheaper on local craigslist...

Nice. I like that lower guide rod to keep the footplate from shifting side to side. Too bad no band pegs on the front, since they are easy to do. maybe they would do them custom for a (hopefully) small charge?
Anyone actually used one?
another new GHR at the same price point. Just found out about it on the TSS mailing list. http://www.texasstrengthsystems.com/ghr.html

holy sh@t! if anyone is local so they don't have to pay shipping, that's a good price, even if it was a used one.

Look into their videos. They clearly show a legend sticker on it. And it is the same as the Legend Fitness one on their website so no pulling out the rabbit from the hat here.

That is a nice price. I really wish I had seen that a few months ago.
I'm not familiar with Garage Gym, but it seems they have some great prices. Their York TPB is <$250!

i'm bumping this because i've been shopping for one lately, and i think this has gotten a redesign. the last time i looked at it i think it was the same design as the legend bolt-together econ one. it looks nice for a bolted design, and low price.
$459 w/ shipping to my place in NC.

Good bump Kodokan. Somehow I missed this the first go round, I believe I was watching the kids as my wife frolicked in the North Carolina sun for that week......!
That is what appears to be a very nice GHR, I really can't believe no one here bought it and reviewed it. $460 for a GHR like that is a very good price! I gave $300 for the York I have (animal referred to it earlier in this thread, but I never caught it till now) and it was used!
This is a good catch I think.
Speaking of that York......I've been using it now since February. I like it, its amazingly solid for a bolt together. It is sturdy, has a good foot plate, and a knee pad in front of the big hip pad that makes it a bit more comfortable when you're mounting it. The handle bars are incredible, they're big comfortable, and very stable.
What I don't like about it is the cheap fabric they used for covering....it tears easily. I also don't care much for the roller pad for the front hip pad, any bump in the underlying padding just rolls deep into your quad like a pin point bad massage....not good. It is also a bit difficult to adjust; the pop pins are tempermental and it doesn't slide as good as it should on those bushings. It also should've had band pegs, but a lot of them don't come with those so I guess that's an iffy reason to dislike it.
Its worth more than I paid for it, I don't want to make it sound like I'm ragging on it. Its just that GHR's are a brutal excercise and you really need to feel comfortable on the equipment. I'd actually debate getting the one listed here if I knew it was a move up. I'm sure I could sell mine for what I paid for it, so its only about a $170 upgrade for me. I'm not going to gamble since I like the one I have though. If I didn't have one I would buy the GG one.

Also speaking of York, email that Alison and see what price she'll do you on their GHR with the 30-40% off thing. Might make it more affordable.

Crupia said he had problems with garage gym. He talked me out of getting bumpers from them.
Has anyone ordered from them and had good experience?

I know a lot of crossfitters deal with them and talk about the good prices and service.
But I have had no personal dealings.

This is not a redesigned US made Legend GHD. These are coming off a boat.

I checked that when I talked to her. $550 before shipping!
Odd too, that link up there to Christians has it for $504, and GG has them for $850, which was Yorks original price.....not sure what the deal is there.

Ya it's kind of weird.
I contacted Allison as well but even after getting her quote, Christians is still cheaper when they are a retailer.
