What might be even better is use the SS bar i have at the gym(link to pic below), attached some chain and weight pins and use the SS bar for a chain yoke. Since the bar goes over the shoulders and has handles in front of you it would be as close as you can come to a car walk. (I wonder if my bar can handle the heavy weights while moving?)

That is an idea. We may have to give that a shot next year... I hear those chain yokes are a real pain in the ass though!

Finals:
Fingal's Fingers
I think my prep was almost spot on with this event. I was in the first group and my time was enough to win this event last year. So I guess that means I temporarily held a WR... I trained this event 2 ways: One way I did for endurance where I went for sets of 5 or 6 flips and the other where I would do singles for speed.
Farmer's Walk
Well, I guess the best thing I could do for this event would be to train it in the first place. Due to that AC joint injury I wasn't able to train this event at all... and it cost me big.
Plane Pull
I was really prepared for this event and this time I got to show it because the surface was actually worth a crap. I think that being able to pull a couple really heavy trucks in competition helped me stay sharp in this event as well as the normal suburban training with my dad riding the brake.
Axle Clean and Press for reps
I think one of the best things I did for this event was training heavy arm over arm pulls. My grip was solid as a rock. Also, keeping my flexibility so that I could rack the bar on my shoulders helps with the leg drive. All the high rep clean and press training payed off too.
One thing to remember is when you feel yourself throw the bar forward off your chest split jerk yourself underneath it to catch it and stay under it.
Arm Over Arm Boat Pull
I trained 2 ways for this event since I wasn't sure if it would be a vehicle or like it was 10 years ago with the boat. I trained with both the Suburban and a sled for 140' each. These pulls would take approximately 3.5 minutes each which was absolute torture.
Car Deadlift
Again just being able to train deadlifts would have been nice but since that AC joint injury prevented that I was happy with the 7 reps I got. I think that doing all those bottom position squats helped strengthen my lower back a ton! I will try to keep either those or goodmornings in my routine from now on.
Atlas Stones
I didn't train stones at all before WSM because of that AC joint injury from the Finger. I tried once but it hurt so bad to hold onto them I had to stop.
Before the stones in the final I really felt in touch with my body. I could actually see myself running through the stones and almost feel it all happening. If I could do this with every event I would crush competitions.
