Jaybird's journal... From fat to progress...
Hello all, I've been reading the BB.com forums for quite some time and decided to write a journal dedicated to my workout and eating habits for those who have a long way to go and need some encouragement and others who are MUCH more knowledgable than me in the area of training and nutrition to hopefully assist me in the path I have been travelling since January.
I'm 37, and late last year, realized that with having a wife, 3 children, and my own business, I put my health on the backburner since my late 20s. Having a very athletic teens and 20s, I knew I wanted to get healthly, lean, and then build muscle. On January 4, 2009 I weighed in at a whopping 204 pounds and knew I had to change.
With that being said, I have been working with my bodybuilding coach, Sean Calder, who has helped me lose 53 pounds and go from 204 to 151 in 10 months. My BF% is now at 10% and I'm the leanest and most muscular I have ever been in my life.
My main goals moving forward is to add muscle to my frame and keep the BF % down below 10%. Perhaps one day, compete in a BB competition. Who knows...
