London Miscers! Need a gym.

Just moved to Southwest London so no more free gym for me.

Council gyms are 40-50 pounds per month which is ridiculous.

My college has a **** gym plus I wouldn't want to go all the way to Edgeware Road just to work out.

Anyone know if King's College has a gym?

Bun gyms with no student discounts. -_-

I doubt colleges in London have gyms, if they do they probably just have a bench and a set of light barbells and dumbells. Im in NW so cant help you much but search google for harpers fitness and see if you have one if your area they are quite cheap, ?27 a month for gym ,sauna, steam room, running tracks and a swimming pool..student discount

i'm southwest london and pay 80 quid at Virgin Active. fcuking steep but its the only gym close to me so have no other option.

Putting it into perspective, it's not that much since i probably spend double that a month on alcohol

not sure about the student discount, look into it.

If you're really serious about training, look into reducing costs of other things to help you afford it. I use to drink 2-3 times a week so i restrict it to once a week now. Helps with costs and keeps me healthier

I used to pay $15 a YEAR while at uni. god those were the days.

Hahah my brother trains at that specific gym, the rich bastard. Weak as fuk and does cardio all day and is mad at me for my gains everytime I see him. Still works in an acct. firm in London and is earning t3h greenz tho, lul.

That is crazy mate. Fitness First is about 40 if I'm not mistaken, though they don't offer student discounts -- that's still bare cheap compared to what you're paying though.

Looking into Virgin Active with the student discount as well. I might have to go to the Chelsea branch since that's nearer, though that doesn't spell anything but bills.

yep but the Fitness First in my area is dogballs. My friend went there and said its not worth it...better off paying the extra 40 a month.

WIth Virgin, you can use your membership at any other Virgin Active so pretty sweet if you move houses or w/e.

Brockwell Lido - ?40 a month and its never packed. A very ideal gym to go if you dont want to wait 15 mins between exercises.

just remembered there's one in Putney for about 40-50 quid a month. Not many free weights though so its always packed

Seen Kinektika, gonna check out one of their gyms this half term. A bit ill right now but I need to look into it.

I love London, only downside is that it's really, really expensive for EVERYTHING.

Fitness First has a student discount? I may have to have a look back at that. Thanks brah.

get a tube pass and drag yourself to pumps gym...great hardcore gym..i train there when i am in london... its awesome

get down at blackhorse station and from there,its a straight 3 mins walk...affordable too...

Checked out some South Kensington gyms.. **** me. It's all about location, location, location.

I've lived here a week and I'm already starting to hate it.

70 ****in' quid per month for a gym membership. You oughta be kidding me.
