Halloween plans:
I'm attending a gay debutante ball. The debs will actually be men in drag. It's a charity fundraiser for our local Aids Care services. It is supposedly pretty humorous. Before the event, I'm having a revelers over to my house for cocktails while we greet trick-or-treaters. I found this great martini in "In Style" called a Vampires Kiss that I'll be serving.
My group costume: Gays Anatomy
Superman and I are going as doctors. We also have two naughty nurses and two candy stripers to complete the entourage. The doctors costume consists of a loose pair of scrub pants [worn commando, natch], a white doc's overcoat, shirtless, and a stethoscope.
I plan of doing numerous hernia checks throughout the evening.

As for me, I will sit at home and wait for kids to show up with pillowcases and very unimaginative costumes, kids who are too small for trick-or-treating, kids who scream in your face, kids who can't say "trick or treat" OR "thank you", kids who don't live in the vicini-cinity, and freezing my manhood off waiting for one kid to come by so I can give him a couple mini-Musketeers bars then wait for another 8-12 minutes for the next one. I finally got caught up over last weekend. I love it and especially Jane Lynch's portrayal of Sue Sylvester. I crack up everytime she even makes a facial expression, let alone utters a brilliant line.
I also think it's nice that they cast a real life lesbian in the role of coach.

I thought about dressing in full leather and dropping by rnye's bar, which is in the neighborhood. But it's going to be too hot for leather this weekend so I'll have to figure something else out.
Decided to throw in a few more days to explore the country on my own once I am there since likely I won't go there again in my lifetime. Just bought my plane tickets, my boss will have a stroke when she learns that I am gone for 20 days just before the year's end LOL

As of the trip itself - yes, it is going to be exciting! But I wouldn't grade it as a "trip of a lifetime": as I became financially stable about 8 years ago, I made a resolution to budget for at least 2 vacation trips a year: one just to whale on beach somewhere warm during the long Canadian winter, and another - doing active sightseeing, 1 country at a time.
Slowly but surely the white spots on the world map are diminishing for me year after year
I love travel. I've now been to every continent with the exception of Antarctica - which I will eventually visit.
But I can't seem to have inactive vacations where I do nothing but sit on a beach....something Superman laments. I have too much energy. But I divide my trips into categories: cultural and party. I enjoy both equally and both serve to satisfy. But I cannot do both cultural and party vacations at the same time. I have to commit to one or the other.
