Not a big fan of Koscheck, but I'm hoping he beats the sh!t out of AJ.

I like the fight and it makes sense, as it (hopefully) will give us a good idea of how well Johnson can handle the division's other skilled wrestlers like GSP and Fitch, or Hendo/Marquardt when he moves up--although Hendo's wrestling is a lot more clinch oriented than Koscheck's. I'd bet there is probably a 50/50 chance he misses weight against kos at ufc 106 if the fight is at 170.
I'm still not sure how much the fight improves the ppv's buyrate though.

What exactly do you call a big draw? Forrest, Kenny, Bisping, Sanchez, Jardine, Diaz & Rashad are pretty big names.

Then you have new fighters that are challenging older fighters, it's only making the division more competitive and stronger.
With MW, many of the fighters are not improving all that much.

Yeah, but I'd rather bet money on the top contenders beating anderson than GSP.

Koscheck will destroy AJ if he doesn't try to stand with him.
Unfortunately, I think he will, which is a shame because I want to see someone run a takedown clinic on him...

No, late. Far TOO late, in my opinion, because his legs are already f*cked. Kos' striking only seems to be really dangerous when he has someone against the cage, and I don't see AJ getting pinned there. He needs to put him down early and often, which I think he can.

too bad for people in the 170 pound division, cus he certainly CAN make it to 170. He's done it before. Anyways, i heard it was cus he was sick or had some sort of injury. Secondly, yes he's big but 50 lbs bigger when he's not fighting? I'm sure quite a bit of that is dieting some fat off. He's muscular for sure, but there's no way that he's 50lbs heavier and still really lean.

Yep, but since the fight only lasted seconds and he sustained no injuries or cuts, I'm sure he was cleared to fight again almost immediately.

Yes he did. AJ also tried to call a time out when he lost a contact, and Herb Dean was having none of it.
Fun fact...in that fight they measured Rumble's reach at 74". Now aren't they saying it's like 80"?

Thought so.
If a 155'er with average wrestling can take him down, I'm guessing a large WW who possesses one of the best shots in MMA has a chance as well.

If AJ makes weight I see this being a close fight...could go either way
Kos is an elite wrestler, he could take AJ down at will...
However if the fight takes place under 'Johnson Allowance' rules...who knows
