Rice Cakes
Are rice cakes considered a simple or complex carb source?

they are processed though, when the rice is puffed, it skyrockets the GI and makes the a diet no-no

Alright thanks. I'm starting cutting and I was wondering how, or if I even should, implement them into my diet.
If I do, it obviously will be post-workout.

you could definatly find something more nutritious, like oats... or dextrose if you want

Dextrose?
Are you kidding? Dextrose has no nutritional value.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with rice cakes. I ate them all throughout my prep for my last show. Don't worry about the GI, it's irrelevant unless you are eating them all by themselves in a fasted state. Again they are absolutely fine and a great carb source I might add. I achieved the condition you see in my avi eating them all the time.

saying rice cakes are bad for you or for a diet is pretty ridic if you ask me. its low carb for the amount of eating you get to do. mentally theres ALOT to be said for that.
when i was precontest i went through a couple periods where i loved rice cakes, and consuming them regularly did not in any negative way effect my progress.

I used to love to eat rice cakes with pb. There is something about the crunch and the pb taste that I loved. Of course, I don't really eat it anymore since I very much prefer ww bread for my pb.

Random news: Wanting to go full bore into my bulk without scaring my girl.
