Creatine and glutamine
I'm sure somewhere in these threads this has already been addressed, but time is valuable.
My questions are: Are both helpful together? Do they counter act each other? When is the best time to use them before, during, after a workout. Is one better than another? Or are they providing different results? Are they used only on workout days or every day?
I have found so much conflicting information, I don't want to waste my time and money if I'm not using these products properly
I have read all the directions on the containers and I understand each products instructions, however all companies and products taught their own benefits but not complete applications.
I'm looking for actual people who have seen their own results and benefits and how they used these products.
Thanks a head of time!

These supplements ARE helpful together. "Numerious studies have shown that creatine and glutamine mixed w/ a high-glycemic carb such as dextrose results in a dramatic increase in muscular developmen and strength (Muscle Mag - Dwayne N Jackson, PHD)
Creatine - 3 phases = should do a loading phase for first week (20g/day) (pharm grade creatine mono) = 5g waking up, 5gram pre, 5 gram post, 5g before bed.
Next 4 weeks should be maintenane phase (10g/day) 5g pre, 5g post.
Last = No creatine - 3 weeks.
Glutamine = 9-15g/day
3-5g in morning protein shake, 3-5g w/creatine in pre and post workout
This is how I use them.. so. its a good/great idea to mix them both together with a sports drink or fruit juice.
Creatine builds muscles and glutamine helps repair them.
Make sure your eating LOTS of protein also! 1-1.5g / lb of body weight
Hope this helps

Not at all.
Glutamine has been proven ineffective time and time again for the reasons people mostly use it for - muscle growth and strength = FAIL.
And 10 grams of creatine per day is excessive. Only 3-5 grams is needed for maintenance.

Glutamine is a waste; if you wanted something to fight catabolism then BCAA's would be the effective alternative.
As it was mentioned above you only need 5 grams of Creatine per day, no need for loading or cycling and daily consumption is the most effective protocol. Creapure creatine is regarded as being one of the best products (potency, purity, price).

Tom, thanks for your reply. I actually do only take 5g per day and do every day. The glutamine I also did buy but really haven't figured it out. I appreciate your insight.

In this order: Protein, Creatine, BCAA, 700 other supplements, then Glutamine. I've used Glutamine before, it helps a little bit, a very little bit. **** it could be placebo effect. I wouldnt waste your money on it. Go creatine and BCAA's.

I take creatine and glutamine pre w.o. and then glutamine p.o.
BCAA and casein should fight the catabolism.
