I dont drink to get drunk, but I still go out to bars and what not so i'll have a beer or two, you know just to have something in my hand besides juice or a redbull.

I was a alcoholic. I would basically get smashed every night. I made no gains in the gym and my life revolved around my next drink.
I am now sober and it feels so much better, my lifts are going up and I'm back to making gains in the gym. Some of my friends still think it's weird, basically cause they use to have to babysit me at a club. But now they accept the fact and are good with it. It does feel weird to wkae up and not have hangover.

One of the things alcohol does is it makes you feel present. It makes you forget about your past and forget about the future, and just be in the moment. That's why some people become so addicted to alcohol so they can escape. They forget about the rest of their life for a while so they can just enjoy themselves in the moment.

Many people who are experiencing lives they arn't happy with need the alcohol or they can't have fun. That's one of the reasons some people don't understand how you could not want to drink.

When they see you're not drinking and they attack you it's often an unconscious manifestation of the disappointment they feel within themselves as you are doing something that they are unable to do which is live your life in a way where alcohol is no longer needed.

This, usually go out once a week have a jug of beer and have a good time. Feel fine the next morning and it doesn't interrupt anything. Every few months I'll go out and get smashed its fun but I just hate being hungover so I keep it to a minimum. I tried the whole not drinking while going out thing and you just can't get away with it, too many people asking questions offering drinks etc

i used to drink a lot when i was younger, but funnily enough i stopped when i turned 18. (legal drinking age in UK). i still go out with my friends - i just normally have a couple or remain sober to be the driver. it really doesn't bother me, but everyone also thinks i'm weird for not wanting to get drunk. i just don't see the point, i have a blast without having to be wasted.

I don't drink, yeah I've tasted alcohol, but I've seen too many close people become corrupted or hurt by alcohol. It does not bother me if others drink, people will do what they want, but I made the decision before my 21st that its not something I want in my life. There is much more fun things to do and spend my money on than drinking.

Nothing wrong with drinking every now and then. But I'm not jealous and actually feel bad when I see my friends drinking and smoking every day whilst simultaneously failing all their classes and looking skinny/fat.

I have saved lots of money from cutting back on drugs/alcohol. I am debt free and can pay for my schooling out of pocket with no student loans.

I drink but only when its a birthday or special occasion. Maybe 4-6 times out of the whole year. Doesnt mean you cant go to parties or go to clubs.
