Right now i'm in the gym 4 days a week lifting hard and heavy. Right now I'm not sure if the p90x thing is 90 days straight or whatever but I want to keep my weight training in the gym along with the p90x routine. I figured to cut down my gym time to 3 days a week plus the p90x. Maybe do p90x in the morning then 8 hours later go to the gym 3 days out of the week to lift heavy. The only supps I got are universal eaa, ON creatine and protein. If I decide to do my p90x in the morning do you guys think it'll be ok to just have a piece of fruit and a serving of eaa's during the routine? Will that be enough to keep muscle? On days I don't train at the gym i'll have a pwo shake 50g protein. On days with gym training i'll have it after that. thanks guys!

I'm big into MMA as well. I use P90X and I still lift, run, heavy and speed bag and use the stationary bike for cool down. I don't know what others will tell you. But I feel the body needs to be conditioned.
The way I look at it is like this.... If you were to join the military tomorrow and ship out to BCT... They would have you run, pushups etc until muscle failure... You'll be sore as hell the next day but that won't stop them from making you do it all over again. And I have never seen a Soldier in rough shape... Except medics... But they get away with it lol
So what I would do is force myself to a workout routine until my body adjusted. Then keep raising the bar.
I use ClenbutRX Hardcore to boost my energy. They say it's for fat burning but I don't believe in any of that. If there was a miracle product to eliminate fat we wouldn't have an obesity problem in the world today. But one thing I believe is that these so called "fat burners" increase your energy and endurance enough so that you have the motivation to do all the work.
But if I were you. I would continue what you are doing. Add P90X to your daily lifting routine. Maybe p90 in the morning and workout in the evening. You'll be sore at first but your body will adjust. Just drink plenty of water and make sure you're eating a decent amount of calories so you don't end up exhausted. Get a good recovery supplement. I like to train as hard as I can and then take a recovery supplement along with a multi-vitamin and take a nap allowing my body to repair itself.
But you mentioned you like MMA. And in our sport we're not looking to become body builders. We're looking to become athletes. So just keep raising the bar.
