you know that always surprised me . . . my ex was a bodybuilder and i could never get over the fact that he tired easily. you think someone with all that muscle would be able to walk up a flight of stairs but he couldnt . . . his lifestyle involved sitting and resting most of the time unless he was at the gym. He also said it was because of his size. I never quite understood that . . . very strange!

On the HIIT issue, I did both....LISS in the morning, and HIIT at night! Nothing works like HIIT....except you will lose mass in the legs!
Everyone looks great.........TMAN....you are cracking me up with those Calvin undy pics!
Just a side note, I went out with Heather May French ( 3rd at Olympia ), and Listi Allen ( 1st at the USA's ), this weekend.......holy **** that makes you want to work out! They look incredible!
I've been training hard and plan to compete in my first show this year.....and win! I am around 220 right now with 5 % BF abs showing. Its taken a long time to gain the lean mass, but I think I'm ready! I will be in the over 40 Masters division!
Hope everyone is training hard and living well!

Thanks man I appreciate it. I agree with you too, as soon as my show is done in 4 weeks, I am going into a long bulk and am definitely focusing on arms and hams...I defininetly appreciate the input!
Oh, and I'm jealous you went out with Heather and Listi, incredible is right! If you need a wing-man next time, let me know..haha!
You're looking great too, I'm sure you will dominate the competition in the masters division, would you do the open too, because I'm sure you'd place well in both! Keep up the great work!

The blueprint was empty when I checked it.. maybe it wasn't complete yet.
Under 'training and nutrition,' his diet looks dead on for a guy with his otherwordly mass.
Mine's very similair (with much smaller portions).

It's kind of deceiving to try and learn a lot from Jay, or any other IFBB pro's diet and training regimen, because not many of your average bodybuilders on the street are using the "supplements" that those guys use, and in such quantities as is necessary to compete on that level. If a "natural" athlete did exactly what Jay does, and eats what Jay does, they would definitely have problems
I'm always amazed at how many people think they can just eat good and train hard and one day look like the Olympia guys. Few understand the extremes and the risks of the pro game. Not saying you guys, but just the general population of amateur bodybuilders.

I don't think I'd want to be quite that big anyway. Carrying around that much mass even if it is lean is a lot. Watch them walk. Even just standing around or sitting. It is very cumbersome. My own mass may have been a lot of fat, but it was in that weight range. Lemme tell you to have that much mass just sucks to carry around. While it might be a little easy if more of it is muscle, it still can't be a lot of fun.
So who had tried things like Tribulus, DHEA, Cryotest, Novedex, etc? Do they work? And how about are those still considered "natural"?
Figured you brought the other "supplements" into the conversation why not start a discussion

So do you think all things like that are pretty much banned at natural shows? At this point I wouldn't know how to find out what is "allowed" or not. How do they test for things like that? Do all of them require a lie detector test like OMS had to take for his natural show?

ive been looking into it alot lately. Alot of those things are considered prohormones and are banned. If you google natural bodybuilding there are a few national drug free bodybuilding websites that will list all the 2010 shows, the weight classes, whats banned and whats not. They give names of every product that is banned. Usually the prohormone stuff like 6oxo that are banned has a 2yr rule while all real juice is 7 years u have to be off. Most of them give polygraphs to everyone and only the winners are piss or blood tested.
So now that the muscletech comp is over what are everyones favorite supps?? preworkout, post, ect lol now u dont have to be afraid to talk about other good brands!!

You take a lie detector, and I think if you look like a total freak they will also pee test.
I'm an NGA competitor and you have to be clean for 7 yrs. But I'll be doing
the AXIS LABS Natural Colorado Championships in Denver this 24th. It's NPC
so I'll have to do another one, and buy another card. Write to the organization,
and they will give you a list. If you aren't sure about a supplement, then don't
take it.. they didn't even allow pain killers or caffeine at the Mr. Utah.
A well thought out food plan is what you need.

I've been trying Halo for the last 5 or 6 weeks along with nitrotech and nanovapor. I'm slowly putting on weight, just like I've planned so that is good. Strength hasn't gone through the roof or anything, but I'm getting close to my precontest strength levels, but at around 75lbs lighter body weight. I also take the gakic if I'm going very heavy, but maybe take that once every 10 days when I need the lift.

What in the world? No caffeine? That for the contest or no caffeine at all during your training? That's super ridiculous if it is even for your training. Even though I've used caffeine with some products I don't use caffeine all the time. I'd have to say I don't use caffeine very often. Wouldn't that mean like most fat burners and all that against those rules too? lol
I thought you had said you couldn't afford a show? Find a way? If so, that's way awesome man. I hope you place well man!

OUCH! That sucks! I never tried nitrotech. I didn't like superpump 250 either. I've used no explode and like it. I like nanovapor except it gave me headaches

I think Halo is a tremendously great post workout. I had tried just a protein for post. I tried cellmass and something else that I dun remember, but HALO was the ruler of them all.

I'll be competing in Denver the Saturday after next

Last time I got points taken away because my thighs were "too big".... so I
made them even bigger to piss everyone off. I think my stubbornness will be
my downfall..
Yeah Utah was nuts. People were backstage talking about not drinking coffee.
It said no 'stimulants' allowed. w/e

Ive tried Halo, did not notice anything. I like American Whey, Scivation Whey, Beverly International Whey, ON Whey. I use AST creatine and glutamine. Any one else going to do the MT Give away this coming year, if they are having one.

I liked the NitroTech, but I would like it better if it had Splenda in it rather than NutraSweet. Gaspari Myofusion and BSN Syntha - 6 are the best tasting protein powders I've tried.

Why not just punish that chest and arms as much as you punish the legs?

I tried a sample of that Mysofusion once. It was pretty tasty stuff! I am currently using Muscle Gauge's Whey. Pretty good stuff and a great price. Also nice that it is sweetened with Stevia.

Trust me I do.. but I had that shoulder reconstruction and my upper body atrophied,
so I've been working really hard to bring the chest/shoulders back.

Congrats. Did they contact you, or you, them? Did they take new photos or are they using ones you send? Do they pay you or give you any percs other than the honor of being in their mag?
And good luck with NorCalBoyz. Be good.

The one I think you were talking about started Oct. 10th. The last entry date is in Feb. Saw it already. I'm just currently challenging myself.
