Winter Boot Camps

This question is for anyone who has run a boot camp. What do you guys do when it gets cold outside? Where do you find space to rent for the winter, or do you keep going outside?

i run all my camps out of a independent gym, 1 flat rate monthly regardless of level of sales each month. find a homebase, even if you run them outdoor, because in the sales portion of running your business, people feel comfortable and more likely to buy in a comfortable environment like an office. look for local small personal owned gyms in your area with indoor space, and rotate indoor / outdoor classes. my people love it.

Keep going outside. Wrap up warm, gloves and hats. Clothes dry, skin is waterproof and you can't get any wetter than wet. Having said that my bootcamp is run along more military lines.

I can say from personal experience that winter boot camps are tough. You will find a precipitous drop in attendance from your summer camps. People just don't want to come out at 6am when it's 37 degrees out. You might have a hard core following that is willing to go in almost anything, but I've found this to be exceedingly rare.

I would recommend running a boot camp indoors in the winter. You can do some of the same functional exercises and you won't have to worry about people not showing up because of the weather.
