Trained 5 days this week... should I train 6?

I dunno what to do because I heard more than 5 is bad for you.

I am wondering the same thing. right now i am doing

Day 1: chest/tri/shoulder
Day 2: upper back/bi
Day 3: legs/lower back
Day 4: same as day 1
Day 5: same as day 2
Day 6: same as day 3
Day 7: rest

If you CONTINUE to get stronger, then you can train as many days as you like. You body will adapt to just about anything. Just keep in mind how important rest and diet are to your gains.

Be careful though, if it isn't broke, don't fix it!

This is just me talking here, but I feel that you should spread some of those lifts out over more days and only lift them once per week. Multiple reasons for this: 1) Can lift with more intensity when focusing on less in a single session, 2) Longer recovery time, 3) You should be lifting with enough intensity that you're muscles won't be fully healed 3 days after you just thrashed them in the gym. Try a more traditional 5 day split and you're results should definitely increase. With only three days rest your muscles are still recovering from their last punishment which means any lifting you do is preventing them from reaching 100% again and ever reaching their full growth potential.

thanks for the input. however i rarely actually get to stick to that schedule, as i am in iraq and sometimes mission dictates that i dont get to work out on certain days.
