12 Monkeys. With the exception of one minor plot error, it kicks ass. Least favorite "Braveheart". I know it was supposed to mirror the old book but could someone please have at least checked one fact, any one would have been nice.
I think by your sig, it would be 300 all the way?
Too hard for me to pick one.
The Matrix
Star Wars
Caddy Shack
There's Something About Mary (always cracks me up)

Not one specific, but for pure unadulterated sarcasm, 'Mars Attacks' rules. Jack Nicholson is priceless and any one who comes up with the use of Slim Whitman to kill aliens deserves merit.
Love classics, tow FAVOURITE British classics that come to mind are the 1936 film of H.G. Wells 'Things to come' exquisidly done and another favourite Michael Powell's 1946 film, 'A matter of Life and Death' I cry every time I see that movie
Edit, as per the H.G. Wells, I just found it on dvd and ordered it, YIPPEEE
When younger I also liked Conan the Barbarian, Commando and Predator. Basically if Arnie was in it and he was playing a conventional muscle man role (not getting pregnant or teaching presschool), I loved it. Sorry if that doesn't make me very sophisticated.
My taste for action has waned a bit though (but I still like it in context) as I've got older .
Last night I was watching Tommorow Never Dies (with Pierce Brosnan as James Bond). I quite liked the movie when it first came out. As a teen/20's something I couldn't understand why James Bond films, while they did do well, not every last person on earth flocked to see them. Why not? I couldn't understand that. How could anyone not race to see a James Bond film as soon as it came out? Are there really people who don't like fiull on action films? But last night while watching tommorrow Never Dies, as soon as James Bond killed the bad guy in the other jet by flying under him and releasing his rear ejector seat so that it flew up and killed the bad guy in the plane right above him, I switched the telly off and walked away. I've turned into an old foggy I thought. I had hoped it wouldn't happen but I just lack the imagination to enjoy that sort of thing now, I demand more realistic killing these days.
A movie I recently enjoyed was District 9.
A comedy I really like (its not recent but worth renting or downloading a torrent for if you can't get it otherwise) is Idiocracy.
Now you are freaking me out.....This is my #2 ..the directors cut of course. I love it when Rutger Hauer says to Harrison Ford....' the light that burns twice as bright burns half as long'.
#1 Has to be Field of Dreams..I must have watched it about 50 times. The bit at the end gets to meet His dead dad just chokes me up everytime...I guess I must have Father issues....lol

Sports movies.
I like that one about basketball with Gene Hackman and Dennis Hopper.
Favorite movie scene - opening scene to Once Upon a Time in the West
I saw that movie coming out of the stupor of having had my appendix taken out. When I saw the dude in the cemetery, opening the saddle bags of gold, only to be bitten by the rattlesnake, I thought I was in hell! LMFAO When my brother Steve came around with Kirby the neighbor, making jokes about the candy stripers and making me laugh, splitting my side, I realized that it was only a spaghetti western!
