Exclamation Is protein powder essential?

For the last 2 months I have stopped taking protein powder, I used to use dymatize mass gainer, (70 grams of carbs and 35 grams of protein, per serve, 3 times a day).

Since not taking it, I have noticed I look smaller. The annoying thing is, I have still made improvements, my arms are a lot bigger and I am generally stronger all over. Also, I am only 1kg lighter.

Are supplements essential for gaining muscle?

Your losing weight because you would have just cut around 1260 calories from your diet a day and if your not replacing that with food then you are taking in less than you use too hense thats why you will weight less
