Smaller Boobs = Slimmer?
Jus wanna kno what others think of this and if any of you hav had the same experience cos I find it so ODD!
I've got big boobs, not huge not small bout medium to large, anyway, i've joined a Gym and finally got round to using it, I was on the treadmill with my boobs jumping up an down(very uncomfortable!) I decided to get a sports bra, when I wore it it squashed my boobs real tight and drastically reduced the size, I quite liked it so I wore it during the day and got tons of comments like 'u look slimmer' 'have u lost weight?' as well as comments about my breasts which I had an answer to - the sports bra! but I hadn't an answer for the weight loss cos I hadn't lost any between the time they saw me last and wearing the sports bra, I have to admit too that for some reason when I look in the mirror I look better/lighter with it on, is it jus me and the people I hang out with or do smaller breasts really make a large woman appear less larger than usual??

I think larger breasts can make a woman look heavier than she may really be. Mine had gotten quite large after I had kids and put on weight and I really felt that I wouldn't have looked so heavy if my boobs were smaller.

I concur. Boobs are a blessing and a curse! But seriously thats why minimizer bras are popular. Reduced boobage makes you look like you lost lbs.

The right fitting bra for a larger breasted woman can take 5-10 lbs off of her appearance. Most women statistically get the wrong size bra (cup or band size) and end up without the right support. I was buying 38C's for the longest time until I wandered into a Victorias Secret one day and found out I was a 34D. My clothes fit better and I look smaller to. It's definitely worth getting a professional fitting, also some sports stores do fittings for sports bras.

I hear you! I have 38 DD's and I would LOVE to get them down a lot smaller, I always feel slimmer when I'm wearing sports bras as well....I always wear 2! I'd MUCH rather have a thicker, rounder, a** than large breasts any day!! But since training since April, they've gone down a little...and I'm def thankful for that.

I had my boobs done, and my plastic surgeon said that too large of boobs on a woman CAN make her look heavier and/or matronly .. ..I dunno, it sucks for me depending on the shirt... if it's a loose shirt with no shape to it... I look heavier because my boobs make me symmetrical with my hips so the shirt goes straight down... but in a fitted shirt.. I look smaller I think.

i think thats a female conspiracy! it is true that some girls with big boobs happen to have excess bodyfat..but theres plenty of slim women with big juggs..we dont think it makes you larger!

same here, i have new found space in my double d bras, and the band is not as tight around my chest!!
W00T!! , looks like my boobs are genetically programmed to come off dead last, along w/ the legs..actually those have lost more than boobs...thanx mom.
I've lost 60 lbs, and my boobs stayed the same size!!
but i agree smaller boobs can make you look thinner, but i agree with the differences in shirts, a tight shirt is better than a big shirt..for sure.

(Sorry, perfect opportunity to use that phrase .)

Another male perspective here, I think women tend to over-analyze "Looking large." I know a few girls that are slightly chubby yet they are still VERY attractive. Perhaps chubby is the wrong word, lets say "Thick." I actually don't mind love handles so much as long as they aren't excessively big.
Of course you should always work out for yourself, but if you happen to be what you consider a few lbs overweight don't sweat it. From a fitness/weightlifting perspective you are going to have higher standards then others in society.
I know a few people (men and women) with physiques that are pretty close to perfect and they somehow find these minor flaws when in reality they are better then the majority of the population.
My entire point is big boobs = good, even if you feel they make you look heavier.

It probably is a female conspiracy, but i guess it has alot to do with the clothing you wear. For example if its a lose fitting shirt / dress, the angle of the material makes you seem larger, but if its a figure hugging type outfit then its a different story...

I have to be honest, I don't really care whether or not men think it makes me look bigger or not. If I feel uncomfortable about how I look, I am going to change it if possible. If that makes me less attractive to some men, so be it. There are a lot more out there that don't give a crap about the size of a woman's boobs.
