For my 500th post, I present my own personal experience with Controlled Labs REDuction "Fat Incineration Matrix" pills.
TOO LONG? then cliffs at the END
Review:
I chose REDuction because I was intrigued by the 24 hour formula and I didn't want jitters that prevented me from falling asleep. I bought a product years ago with 220mg caffeine per serving that kept me awake 19 hours a day.
Cost from bb.com:
A 30 day supply, 120 tablets was $27.99 at the bb.com store, which is even cheaper than off the manufacturer's website, so I was pleased it was a good value for the money.
I considered and read the reviews of other products, like:
- Mitotropin is $45.99 for a 30 day supply
- Twinlab Ripped Fuel Extreme is $15.95 for a 30 day supply
- Lipo 6 Black is $34.89 for a 40 day supply
- Animal cuts is $29.99 for a "24 day supply" but is apparently 18 pills a day to swallow?!?
Red in the morning, black at night was easy to remember. I often forget to eat my regular vitamins and fish oil everyday but I was really motivated to see some results with the reduction pills. So I felt mentally I was "all in".
Pills were easy to swallow, didn't get stuck in my throat when I drank plenty of water. Once or twice I was in a rush, and trying to take pills without a drink is a mistake. I didn't feel particularly "energized", like say No-Xplode feels like something. I didn't experience any side effects, not even sweating w/o reason.
The black PM pills were a special treat. I couldn't say they made me fall asleep any faster or easier, but like many others have reported I felt like I had wild, vivid dreams and woke up very satisfied the next morning.
Diet:
I have kept a regular log of everything that I was eating. I felt like a dork carrying a little pen and book everywhere but whatever. I continued to workout with weights 2x week, and cardio on a 3rd day. Overall I felt like I could do "less" workout intensity because I was eating a 500 calorie deficit during this time and felt pretty lame. Generally it's very hard for me to lose any weight, I keep the same weight and never vary more than +/- 3 lbs no matter what I do.
Me:
I am over 35, 220 lbs to start, have been working out consistently since Dec 2008.
I have a workout journal here, appreciate kudos, critiques, or just bag on me if you like:

I felt like I had a "good experience" with REDuction, I lost more fat than muscle with no felt side effects. I'll probably try it again in 6 months.
cliffs and calculations:
start date: August 22, 2009
end date: Sept 22, 2009
start weight: 220 lbs
end weight: 211 lbs
Total weight loss: 9 lbs in 30 days
body fat % before = 18 %
body fat % after = 16 %
220 *.18 = 39.6 lbs of fat
211 *.16 = 33.76 lbs of fat
net fat loss = 5.84 lbs
net muscle loss = 3.16 lbs
thanks for your time.
