Week # runs from 10/11 - 10/17/09. You must post, at least one time, in this thread before Midnight EST on 10/17.
IMPORTANT: You must post at LEAST once a week, if you miss 2 weeks of posting you will be disqualified from the competition. I will be keeping track of who has posted.
Also... When you're posting try to be as active as you can. Posts like "posting" once a week won't cut it this time. Be active, participate, and motivate. Coming in and saying, "here is my post for this week" does absolutely NOTHING for your fellow competitors.

Chest day today. My favorite day of the week; who's here with me?!
Will see if I can beat the PR I set on Thursday today...

Chest will always be my favorite. Gotta admit I have done more squats now than ever in my life and started doing deadlifts a few weeks ago and they are pretty great too, but yeah chest rocks the house!

Awesome feeling to hit PRs.
Honestly when I go to the gym I don't like to talk to people. I am not being mean, but I just need to focus. I work out a lot with my dad and I swear he knows about a hundred people who go to the same gym as us. He is always stopped by someone. I do my best to ignore, but I usually just wait for them to leave us alone because I know they are going to talk mid set. I believe it doubles the time it takes for us to finish a workout. lol.

Alright heres my story. I broke both my hands this past friday night. I got into a fight with some "tough guy" and he got the better of me and i beat him up. After all is said and done, i now wish i had just walked away. I didnt and now i have to deal with two broken hands. This will have a huge impact on my bulk and am not sure if im DQ. I will continue to bulk up my quads, hammies, calves, and lower back. Just let me know if i should continue to post here and compete or bow out.

Yes it is. The PR guy tried to charge us $20 for a drop in (1 session) but I told him I was here for the free 7-day trial. He was like: "Oh... (you aware?)" Totally owned him.

**** Gold's
Gold's Gym gets two big thumbs down - IMO. I was doing deads at the one in San Angelo, TX on the last day of my week trial and I wasn't going very heavy. The gym was pretty empty and I wasn't making much noise. I wasn't my strongest back then and I was shooting for a PR at the time: 515. I had almost locked it out when I felt the lower back starting to go so I opened my hands and let it hit the floor. Within moments this personal trainer had ran across the gym and go in my face, telling me my form was horrible and I should be lifting that heavy. The guy look like he had abs, no guts, and was about 5'8, I'd say 170. I asked him how much he could dead lift and he said, "275". I just looked at him and grabbed my gym bag, there wasn't really anything I could do and not look like I was picking on him, I was 260 something. I left. On my way out he told me to strip the bar. I turned around and said, "If you're so passionate about it, you strip the ****ing bar, ******!"
The next the the sales guy called me to apologize and say if I came in, we could work something out and he'd give me a deal. I told him, "I don't know what disgusts me more, your trainer's 'planet fitness' attitude or the fact that you @-holes have the audacity to have the pic of the Gold's that Arnold trained in hanging on the wall." I hung up and I'll never go back to a Gold's Gym. I've seen a few that didn't even have a squat cage or stock over 100 pounds dumbbells... Worthless!
edit:
Thank God there's actually hardcore gyms left i.e. Olympic Gym in San Antonio, Hyde Park in Austin, World Gym San Diego & America Iron in Reno, where it's still acceptable, in fact, encouraged to train like you have a set!
edit II:
And for less than 10 bucks a pop!

Tony, well done. You've dropped more weight in your first 15 days of cutting then I did my first month of cutting in 2007 or in 2009. It looks like I'm going to have to eat my words and pony up.
For those of you who don't know, I told Stackz if he weighs 265 on The First of January, I'm going to buy him a can of ANiMAl TEST!

This morning I was 234.8. I'm pretty sure I can hit 227 by Oct 24th and then Nov 1 start my 8 week animal log, you should see the prods I have the far, the maids think I'm doing something illegal.
edit: wow, 777th post in this thread. Too bad I'm not in Nevada, I'd spend all day playing single deck.
