Anyone buy a prowler?
Parents are being cool and letting me move back home due to going back to school and I will be cutting my hours at work and will be saving a nice amount of $$ per month and will be doing some volunteer work at one of the local schools that I use to go to and will be helping my old coach with some misc work here and there (I want to be a teacher/coach) and he said I can store any type of equipment in his storage area.
So I've been thinking of getting some sleds or a prowler but wanted some thoughts before I committed the 300+ for it. I would mainly use it for self training and have the O-Line/D-Line use it for spring training/off season drills

The prowler is a good piece of equipment if you have the cash.
PS It is not looked down upon to use periods. They can make your post much more readable.

I have one, it's awesome. You could probably make 10 homemade sleds for the money, but it is definitely a good piece of gear.

prowlers really are one of the best training tools possible, and definitely worth the price. when i get out of college and become an actual engineer, ill definitely buy one.
edit: now that i think about it, i could have one machined. ill make my own improvements too.

I'm in the DFW area too and wanted a Prowler. I'd suggest checking out www.strengthsled.com. They are based in North Dallas and make a solid product. I recently picked up their Prowler knock-off and it's awesome. You save almost 50% off regular Prowler cost. They'll let you demo it too.

marc bartley makes one called a "lung breaker" on his website and it's cheaper than the prowler. Just look up his stuff from spud inc.
