I'm exited about the game, not worried about it.
It should be a good game.
Drew Brees hasn't won a game after the Bye since 05 when he was with the Chargers. He's had some bad performances each year after th bye, never throwing less then 2 INTs, and throwing 3 in two of the years.
The Giants have the best passing, and total defense in the NFL, only allowing 115 yards per game passing, and 232 total yards, so maybe you should be nervous.

lol bro you can't go off the past any more. This is a different Saints team. You guys might have the best passing defense, but your run defense is 19th or so in the league. In case you haven't heard or seen, we've been playing some smashmouth football down here. This aint the paperbag Saints no more!
Either way, should be a good ass game and I wish it wasn't a week and a half away.

The only reason the Giants are 19th in run defense is because of the Dallas game where they allowed 251 yards. They made some very obvious mistakes in that game, and have since cleaned them up. Here's the rushing yards allowed in all of their games. Some of the rushing yards allowed were the other teams QBs running the ball in garbage time.
Washington 85 yards
Dallas 251 yards
Tampa Bay 28 yards
KC 105 yards

A 310 lb blocking TE, with a 263 lb FB, and a 265 lb RB.
Beatty is very athletic for his size too. That will be sweet if he can catch well. Maybe the team will stumble upon something very effective to use in red zone situations.

I didn't hear anything about kickers being brought in today. They did on Tuesday which is the day teams usually bring players in for tryouts.
From what I heard neither one of them impressed at all.

I hope Eli is able to play this weekend, even if it's in a limited fashion. Maybe Carr will start, and Eli can come in only if Carr is injured, because if Carr starts, and Eli is not able to play, the team will have to sign Bomar from the practice squad. To do this, they will have to cut one of the players currently on the roster.
Any player they cut now will quickly be picked up by another team.

NY Giants quarterback Eli Manning goes 'for a test drive' in Friday's practice
http://www.nj.com/giants/index.ssf/2...li_mann_6.html
By Mike Garafolo/The Star-Ledger
October 09, 2009, 11:04AM
eli100909.jpgJohn Rieger/US PresswireGiants quarterback Eli Manning will attempt to practice Friday on an injured foot.Noon UPDATE with practice info below.
Eli Manning is going to do at least some work at practice Friday morning. So tweets Giants VP of communications Pat Hanlon.
"Looks like No. 10 is going for a test drive today," Hanlon posted to his Twitter account a few minutes ago.
Doubt he means a Toyota.
We'll see how he looks and how much he does on his injured foot.
* * * *
Manning was moving without a noticeable limp at practice. He went through all of the stretching drills, did some high-stepping and a little jogging as well. He took snaps with the starting offense during the walk-through portion of practice, though David Carr was the first to do so.
Coach Tom Coughlin will update Manning's status after practice and will give his official designation for the injury report. Manning might also be available to reporters as well.
* * * *
TE Kevin Boss (ankle) remains out of action. He was doing light ab work and riding the bike on the side. Again, his prospects haven't looked good all week, but I'm sure they'll leave the door open for a game-time decision on Sunday.
RB Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle) was back at practice, just like last Friday. He should be a go for Sunday.
LB Bryan Kehl was a surprise participant - three days after undergoing surgery on his broken finger. He's apparently talked the team into letting him practice. He was wearing a small splint on his finger, not the big cast he had on. I don't know about Sunday, though. I mean, all of the stuff you need him to do as a special-teams player involves grabbing and grasping. Why suit him up if he can't do it? Then again, Kehl did tell me yesterday he believes the finger is more secure because of the screws in there and that the bone isn't rattling around like it was.
CB Aaron Ross (hamstring) and DT Chris Canty (calf) weren't practicing, but you knew that would be the case.
* * * *
And finally, today's song I can't get out of my head is "Forever" by Chris Brown. If you saw "The Office" last night, you know why. Great job by all the folks involved on that episode. I thought that show was slumping lately, but they came back in a big way last night.

NY Giants QB Eli Manning takes half the snaps in practice, 'questionable' for Raiders game
By Jenny Vrentas/The Star-Ledger
October 09, 2009, 2:15PM
1010manning.jpgJamie Squire/Getty ImagesEli Manning will "most likely" be a gameday decision, coach Tom Coughlin said.
Giants quarterback Eli Manning took half the snaps at practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Raiders with an injured foot. Coach Tom Coughlin said the decision on whether or not he plays will "most likely" wait until gameday.
Coughlin added he was "absolutely" encouraged by what he saw, but the next step is seeing where Manning is at when he comes in Saturday, after continuing treatment through the night at his home.
"We?ll see where he is and, if he?s where I think he?ll be, made some progress overnight, he?ll come out and go therough the jogthru," Coughlin said. "I see no reason why he wouldn?t do that if he can."
Manning, who had plantar fasciitis before then injuring his plantar fascia against the Chiefs, was not available to reporters in the locker room after practice. But back-up David Carr, who split the snaps down the middle with Manning, said what Manning showed in practice Friday was "a good sign." Not only was he able to make short 10-15 yard throws, but Carr said Manning also looked good while airing out deep balls.
While most of the players were watching how the passes looked and where they went, Carr said he and quarterbacks coach Chris Palmer were watching Manning's feet. According to Carr, his mechanics looked 100 percent normal after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday's practices.
"His mechanics looked good; it wasn?t like he was favoring it or anything," Carr said. "I think that was by design for him. I don?t think he wanted to come out (Thursday) or the day before and just not look right. I think that would have been disheartening for everybody, including himself."
What Manning would not really be able to test before the game is whether or not he can slide around in the pocket with the opposing defense coming at him at full speed. Carr has prepared all week as a starter because, even if Manning can start Sunday, if Manning's foot doesn't hold up or feel right at game speed, Carr may need to abruptly enter the game.
***
LB Michael Boley (knee), DT Chris Canty (calf), LB Bryan Kehl (finger) and CB Aaron Ross (hamstring) are out for Sunday's game. TE Kevin Boss (ankle) is doubtful. Along with Manning, RB Danny Ware (elbow) is questionable. RB Ahmad Bradshaw (ankle/foot), WR Domenik Hixon (knee), OL Rich Seubert (shoulder), LB Clint Sintim (groin) and DE Justin Tuck (shoulder) are probable.
