Sounds like I might like it.Im good about trying different things. Plus if they make them in chocolate that will solve that problem....I have bought the "real peanutbutter" several times. The kind you have to turn upside down for the oil to mix??...Its good I like it. BUT the kids didnt like it very much so I went back to some off brand stuff. It is cheaper and more of it at least.

I will grab some of those rice cakes this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.

I guess I don't understand the point of your posts so from now on I will stay out of them. Do you want us to confirm that your eating habits are not that bad so that you feel better about eating the junk that you're eating? Do you want the people here to give you a pat on the back for "trying" to eat better but half of your selections are crap? Do you want us to feel sorry for you for having a wife that doesn't care about health? I agree that we should have a balanced diet and not be so anal about eating only clean foods but when your diet consists of 60% bad and 40% good (if that), then you're doing more damage than you think. You're hindering your progress and also your health.

My mom is a classic scenario when it comes to this. She's diabetic, has had heart attacks, is on dialysis, heart medication, etc... but she still eats terrible even though what she eats is the cause of most of her problems. Is too late to fix the illnesses she has now but if she had taken care of herself BEFORE she got all this stuff, she would not be dealing with most of her health issues.... at least they wouldn't be as bad. And who is paying for her being so irresponsible with her health? Us, her kids. I don't mind taking care of her at all but when I see that she's on a path of self destruction, then it makes me mad! Is not that she eats junk food but she eats too much of the wrong things. Anyway, I got a little side tracked here but I wanted to show you that what you do now, it will affect your body later on. Eating good foods it's not just for aesthetic reasons, it goes way beyond that. Think about what you want your children to deal with. I certainly don't want mine to be dealing my health issues later on if I can prevent them now. I love them too much to do that to them.

What's wrong with society these days is that most people have a sense of indulgence and entitlement. Most people have the attitude of "if I want to eat this [insert crap food here], I'm going to eat it and I don't care if you like it or not!"... I view this people with attitudes of a two year old where they have tantrums if they don't get what they want. No self discipline!

I hope one day you realize how much damage you're doing to your pancreas, your liver, your heart, etc. by eating all those "yummy" processed foods. Cheers!

I don't understand how with all the information on this site, much of it given directly to you that you continue to post this crap. The knowledge is here if you take it, the question that you keep answering time and again is that you have no desire to do what it takes to succeed!

Pick/make a plan, stick to it every day, every meal for a month then come back and tell us about all the amazing changes. Stop half assing EVERYTHING then asking for everybody's approval!!!

MIKE: Tropicana has an excelllent OJ called " TROP 50 ".....

it has HALF the calories of regular OJ.....

this allows me to have an 8 oz. glass and only consume 50 cals.....

check it out, you will delete some more calories out of that breakfast.....

my preference for some sort of OJ is simply because I can swallow pills much better with OJ and can do a good handful of them in the morning....

French Vanilla Coffee
Orange Juice
All this came up to about 465 calories. Im not sure if I did the calories thing right. I looked at the serving size. THEN I looked at the calories per serving. I didnt worry with the calories from fat or whatever else is on the label as I dont know anything about all that stuff. Just simple "serving size and calories"

Im not trying to gain more muscle or more weight. My main goal is keeping what muscle I have and losing some body fat.

Most of the time I dont have the OJ...Just sometimes when we actually have it. And sometimes I have some oats to go with my meal which consists of a spoon of brown sugar, skim milk,water..

This breakfast is what I feel is proper somewhat healthy and its what I totally love to eat. Its not a have to thing...I actually LOVE this meal...Do most of you feel this is ok?

I know this is only one meal of my day but its my most favorite and most important to me. So I just wanted to get everyones opinions.
"and as the world turns"............stay tuned for the next episode called.............."will mikie ever dial it in?"

Cheers!
Good post...

And OP, that diet.....what the hell?!??!?! That diet is, in my book, awful!

Need to start making some serious changes in how you approach your food. Start thinking of your food as FUEL for your body..for energy, and start making better choices. A "cheat" every now and then is okay and helps to keep you sane, but man you got to make the effort or say hello to an ever expanding belly and the subsequent health issues.

And also, I noticed that you said you were playing a "video game". How long do you play your video games, and if they are for a long time you could put some of that effort into some cardio instead....

Im not stupid, I know how to eat. I know how to train. I know how to tell others to eat. BUT..When you have these problems of not being able to control it, you have to get it off your chest sometimes. Like any other addiction , its always on your mind all day. So I have to come here and vent. My wife sure dont wanna hear anything about it.

Please just bear with me when I do this. I truly dont mean to be pester people....

For lunch I had some green beans/corn that was left over from diner last night and a can of tuna "in water"..and a banana and water.

So when I have the decent foods, I do eat them...
Go ahead and vent Mikieson. If people dont like what they are reading, theres a "back arrow" on their computers they can click on so they wont get annoyed. No need to have a spray at you man, we all got problems and addicitons of some sort, if venting helps you, go right ahead. Doesnt worry me in the slightest.

Thank you both for understanding. Yes it is an adiction which is different than someone not wanting to change or better them selves. A huge difference. Right now as I type this all thats on my mind are those stupid HOT CHIPS. I almost got pisssed enough at some of the replies from people that I just wanted to give in and eat the whole freakin bag. BUT I havent done it yet.

Some take my threads as something other than what they are...ITS a cry for help. A cry for someone to talk to. To get things off my chest..Nothing more. Like I stated, I KNOW what to eat and what not to eat. Most people do...You have a group of people that care what they eat and never stray. You have another group that doesnt give a crap. YOu have another that wants to do right but struggles every day...Thats ME.

And im not going to let some of the posters get to me. I have to vent sometimes...Im going to do it. Either come in my thread or dont...As long as I get 1,2,3 people to talk me through things for the moment I will hopefully make it.

As for the one guy saying my diet was horrible??? NOTHING I ate "that I posted" was actually horrible accept the dumb little debbie cake. So today I AM HAPPY with what I have put in my body.

Would putting all of this in a journal thread remove what's frustrating you? I don't always look at who's posting threads. If the title is interesting I click on it. It's a common occurrence for me to think "OMG it's another 'Mikieson ate junk food' thread!"
