The workouts with hubby are going alright. He was sick last week so I was alone for some of it but some is better than nothing.

I went shopping the other day which usually makes me hate my body b/c of how nothing seems to fit right. But it turned out ok-I think I finally turned the "I hate X bodypart" corner.
The sales girl was picking things out for me and I told her no, that won't work b/c of my body shape. She told me not to be hard on myself etc etc and I looked at her and said that I wasn't being hard on myself but stating a fact. I'm built a certain way and I like to wear things that flatter and enhance what I'm working with and what she had picked out wouldn't do that.
Then I realized- I was finally accepting every bit and piece of me. I had no feelings of hate or disgust about myself I am what I am and there is nothing wrong with that...

Besides all the mushy sappy finding myself stuff- the clothes I got are very cute and I finally found the most perfect pair of boots so bring on the fall weather
This just makes me smile...

I love boots!!!

I feel like I am getting there too...I had to buy some bigger pants this weekend because my butt and legs didn't look right in the others...I'll need to wear a belt, but making things work with clothes isn't a reflection of us and our bodies...I wish clothes didn't have a size tag though - lol.

You are gorgeous girl - inside and out
Yay for inner journeys

lol no kidding! I keep thinking that clothes should be made to fit us, not the other way around. I'm wondering when they'll figure out how to make pants fit the waist and butt at the same time. If that ever happens they'll deserve the Nobel Prize!

In poetry class we are supposed to make a parody of a poem or two. Well every parody I have done centers around food. I'm beginning to think I have some issues lol
Anyway, I thought I would share one for fun.

The original poem:
Fork, by Charles Simic
This strange thing must have crept
Right out of hell.
It resembes a bird's foot
Worn around the cannibal's neck.

As you hold it in your hand,
As you stab with it into a piece of meat,
It is possible to imagine the rest of the bird:
Its head which like your fist
Is large, blad, beakless and blind.

So my poem about a peach pie that my practicum teacher was eating. One of those horrible Walmart pies...why bother?

Peach Pie
This pale soft crusted abomination
Wriggling in wet jelly.
Smothering ripe peaches
With cold slick underbelly.

Not fit for human consumption,
Better for birds.
Metal claw, creeper from hell,
Crushed in a fist,
It's just as well.

My new thought about food, because yes it is an abnormally important in my life, if it is not absolutely delicious I don't eat it. Thank you food critic on Ratatouille.

Just thought I would pop in before getting to bed. I have been able to fit in lots of walks and even a run this week- yay! It was only 3 miles but it was so fun to do. I hope to fit in more runs this week (I'm sure the puppies hope so too).

Weights have been going good, 2 full body days to maintain right now which has been working out good so far. I am dissapointed in slight strength losses though, my upper body has gone back to its happy place of 65 lb bench presses. I guess as long as it stays there I'm good.
Other than that things have been very busy and I'm feeling burned out. Pushing this hard for so long with work and school is starting to get to me I think. I keep getting migraines and my back is one ball of tightness-even yoga can't fix that one Not too much longer before I graduate...
