Tummy skin
Can you ever get rid of excess tummy (pregnancy) skin naturally?

I don't think so, not drastically atleast. Do your ab work and get you BF% down, and if it's still there, I dunno what else to say! Tummy tuck maybe? Or just love it the way it is, most guys could care less about that sorta thing.

I guess it depends on how much excess skin there is and how many children you have had, how elastic your skin is, etc. I am taller and my torso is longer so my stomach didn't get really big. I did get stretch marks though. But anyway, I have a bit of excess skin below the belly button, but it has definitely gotten better since I started working out. I think it also helps if you lose weight slowly so that way your skin has a chance to "catch up."

Hey PammyJo, I think you know the answer to this one hun, sadly surgery is the only answer!! I have 3 boys, eldest is 20, and over the years have toyed with the idea of a tummy tuck, even going for a consultation with a surgeon, but to be honest I am just not prepared for such an extreme measure. Besides, mine is ok so long as I stand up nice and straight. Some girls on this site have had one, and the fashion seems to be covering the scar with a tattoo, so the results are really amazing and with the scar 'camoflauged' no-one needs to know you've had it done. A great thing about the tummy tuck is it not only addresses the issue of loose skin but the rectus abdoms can be tightened to give a tighter waistline, something excercise alone cant do once they've been stretched to breaking point repeatedly!

I think that the above tattoo-over-scar idea is a great one but AUGH...I can't ever imagine having a tattoo needle on a surgery scar! Sends shivers up my spine! (Where I incidentally have a surgery scar, ha!)

That's not the only answer. Not all women have the same elasticity to their skin. I can think of a woman on here who has 6 kids and who has no excess skin anywhere. It takes time and won't disappear as quickly as the fat does.

My profile picture was taken about 4 months after my daughter was born... and i won a bikini contest 3.5 months after. Yes it is possible. Get your body fat down... crank up the cardio and remember your abs are waht you eat so pay attention to your diet. Also try an ati cellulite lotion to tighten up the skin.

1st thing to remember is everyone is starting at a different point. Some people don't get as "big" during their pregnancy. Some people carry high, others low. Some are more prone to loose skin and stretch marks than others.
I think a lot of it really is body composition and length of time at improved body composition. This does not necessarily mean "skinny," but that you have a higher lean body mass to fat mass. I normally weighed 130-ish through my teens, got up to 155 during pregnancy and then dropped to 120-ish post-pregnancy. Weighed 115 - 120 (less than when I was a teenager, but wore the same size clothing...what does that tell ya?) most of my adult life and finally started seeing improvement with weight GAIN from that point, not weight loss. So this is about overall body composition and not about going nutsoid with cardio and eating too little (did that and got down to 110 and that's when I finally figured out that was the WRONG approach).
My daughter is 15 and my lower belly has shown the most improvement over the last 5 years or so. This year, I've noticed my lower belly doesn't flop over nearly as much when I'm laying on my side as it has over the last DECADE +!!! I've been kinda like, "Huh. Guess it never IS too late!" So yeah, it'll at least improve over time, even if you never quite get back to perfect.
...just don't be like me and waste 10 years not being consistant in your efforts! LOL

I think over time it is possible...Deit is most important....and consistant exercize. I have had 3 kids and my tummy was a sad sad case after each one, but my tummy still shrunk. I do have some loose skin and plan on a tummy tuck but only after all I can do and if I don't see results....they are war wounds though and reminders of our sacrafice for giving life.
