Slight allergic reaction to Cit Malate?

Just wondering if anyone else has had an allergic reaction to Citrulline Malate. It seems like I'm getting some hives on my arms and shoulders from it. Nothing horrible as they don't really itch much at all...just look a little blotchy in a couple spots. Wasn't getting a reaction before I added it to my pre-wo supp.

Change laundry or personal care products at all? Idiopathic hives often gets tossed into the "overactive immune system" bucket. Although CM has been shown to alter some facets of immume function [PMNs] in response to exercise, I'm not aware of any other significant alterations. Try eliminating it for period and then reintroduce. See a doctor if it doesn't resolve itself.

Can't think of anything that I've really changed lately. Interestingly enough, I wore a long sleeved shirt today and the blotchiness is pretty much all gone. I'm thinking the Cit Malat is ruled out now. lol Thanks for the good info, though!!

about a month ago i experienced slight hives/rash around my neck, and like you described it doesn't itch, it's just a surface of some small bumps, changing the texture slightly but no big deal.
i stopped using myofusion, as well as colognes and my new facewash- and it went down after a week.
i just started using myofusion again as my creatine cycle ended, and i'm experiencing the same problem again.
how did your problem develop red_cat?

Glad you brought this thread back up! My "allergic reaction" turned out to be bug bites; bed bugs to be specific. I FINALLY got to the doc yesterday and he could tell they weren't a food/supplement reaction. In fact, you can see the bite marks at the center. It's just a huge coincidence that I started using Cit Malate at the same time as the bites started happening!

I spent all day killing bugs yesterday. Ugh.
