Matt Minuth of Zenzen barbell bench presses 900 pounds to a half board using an Overkill shirt by Rudy. The current world record is 906 lbs in competition. Currently, Matt has benched 833 at the UPA BB4$. His spotter is Ernie Lilliebridge and at no point did he pull the barbell (got that internet haters?) See my other vid of Matt SMOKING 855 lbs. The 100 lb silver plates have been weighed out to 103 and 102 lbs respectively.

**** yeah man. That guy is freakin' beast. I felt like a dork but I'm glad I had him sign by belt back when I lifted with you guys in the spring. Guy has freakin' pecs growing on top of his pecs! Your gym is hardcore dude, freaks of nature in there.

Lmao what a joke. Spotters hands were on the bar the whole time, side spotters were touching the weight plus it was to a board.
Still very strong, but come on.
you have no room to talk with your numbers. its called SHADOWING the weight. Matt will be visiting your country (England) for the WPC worlds. tell him his lift was a joke there. then tell me how it goes.

I don't care what's it called.
If spotters are touching the bar, it is not 900lbs. Make it 800, 820 maybe with 5 spotters "shadowing the weight".
I'd tell him what I think but I'm sure he'd just tell me to **** off and disregard me as another dumb gym rat.
Just because it's a lot of weight, doesn't mean it can go by uncriticized. If I posted a video of me benching with spotters doing the same thing you'd say exactly what I said.

side spotters werent touching. i was there. head spotter had his hands in a circle around the bar.
see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9b8uYE5Yxs for him hitting 855 with the spotters hands CLEARLY off the bar, go to 1:30. id say he smoked it.
800 my ass lol.
thing is youve probably never trained with someone who has handled alot of weight. more weight = more spotters. just how it is.

If you are absolutely positive that the spotters didn't touch the weights, then I take what I said back.

So just curious here but what does that translate to with out shirt and all that good stuff. Just good old form? Not hating I just cant compare it to real world because I dont see people lifting in shirts.

From the video it it looks like they are though.
fair enough

not sure. i know matt has done 315 for 30, not locked out though after going heavy. and 415 for over 10. ill ask him. though because he competes with a shirt, theres no significant reason for him to max out raw. too great a chance for injury.

What happened to eric lilliebridge? Saw him posting lots of videos of some heavy heavy weights and then he disappeared. He was in the video though and since he's on your team....whats going on with him?

he had a few little injuries. he tweaked his pec. im guessing he just strained it really bad. then a few weeks later he tore his hamstring. it has healed now and he has deadlifted 770 since. Ill be posting his PRs from now on on the official zenzen barbell website. its available on facebook. just search zenzen barbell.

thats heavy ****, but i have to say there is no way to tell what the spotters are doing form that vid, can't they safely spot in a way thats its not impossible to tell? like they do in meets? certainly not an unbelievable lift though based on his past lifts.
and what is the video with the guy falling all about?
