NPC Team Universe question on qualification
I recently competed in an NPC Natural Ohio BB competition. I won my open class, masters class and overall masters class,...My question is,..does this qualify me to compete in the Team Universe NPC?? If so,..would competing in the NPC Natural next month and not doing as good un-qualify me?

The web site/application for the Team Universe NPC show would tell you the qualifications. If you compete between the Ohio show and the Team show, and don't place as well in the middle show, it *shouldn't* disqualify you for the Team show.
If you have any questions, give the NPC a call themselves and ask. They've been helpful in the past for me.

I nominate Athena for NPC chairperson. Knows her stuff and is better to look at than Manion

A while back I asked the same question of Dave Liberman who is the promoter of the NPC Natural Northern USA and the NPC Natural Ohio. Here is his answer:
"In regards to the Team Universe (TU), actually, everyone who enters my contest is "qualified" to compete in the TU. I exploit that issue as the Team Universe is the ONLY NPC drug tested national contest AND the overall winners receive their IFBB Pro cards. It makes sense to let everyone know that it is, in fact, an NPC Team Universe qualifier. I make the Figure competition an NPC National Qualifier but I don't do that with the bodybuilding because it might entice competitors using drugs to try and get qualified and take their chances with the drug tests."

Like the Masters Nationals the Team Universe is very much an open show, meaning that if you have competed in a prior NPC show you are qualified to compete in the Masters or TU also. I think many people are not aware of this fact.
