I think being quite heavily tattooed myself, I don't even notice dudes with a few tattoos and piercings that often. But when it comes to tons of coverage... oh man. I'm in love with GOOD work on a lovely body.

a_new_g asks for people's opinions in the opening post, then along with Jaw-Knee goes and blasts everyone who says they don't think tattoo's are attractive etc.
Why ask for opinions if you're not welcoming opinions?

those designs are lovely! they look really sharp in black compared to henna
that shoulder piece on your bf probably looks nice. b&w pieces are always classic and ba as well

i think i notice because i wonder if maybe they have one that's covered or why they don't have one. people without them seem to be the minority nowadays

I appreciate well thought out colorful tattoos (especially sleeves), but I find that so many guys get them when they are young and don't pick out meanful ideas...they are just whatever is trendy and "hip." Meh. I like sleeves and chest pieces. That's about it.
My husband has 2 tattoos that he got at 18 and 19 years old and I honestly HATE them. The designs are stupid - he is embarrassed to show them off and they don't really "add" anything positive to his image.
As far as piercings, I've had all kinds of stuff pierced (nose, lip, nipples, belly button, ears galore) and I sorta outgrew that after my early 20's. I don't mind ear or nipple piercings on guys, but anything other than that, it is just weird past a certain age (imo). As I age, I prefer the more clean cut/business look than the punky/skater/alternative guy look. If there are business guys with good jobs that still have tattoos, I would probably find them attractive. Haha.

I love tattoos on guys but they have to look good i.e. from a good artist and placed right. I have seen too many "tribal" tattoos on guys biceps and overly cliche type flash. I have ten tattoos and eight piercings at the moment, my husband has two of each. He used to be heavily pierced a few years ago when he was in a band, but has since removed most of them... sigh lol.

That's an awesome piece! It has meaning instead of the typical wander into a shop and pick flash off the wall.

Maybe your hubby can speak to an artist to get them redone or covered by a diff design?
I love tattoos, but I know if I got one, I'd change my mind about it after or get addicted, lol. I have 2 friends/co-workers that ended up just getting more and more. Mgmt really frowned on it too, which is really sad because where I work we really see clients face to face.

I thought about getting something close to this tattoo. Mainly from my upper back to over my shoulder and a little on my chest, not on my stomach, thoughts anyone?

I love tribal tats on guys! I also love the ones that are done in the gothic lettering style (I think that's what they're called).

I have 6. 1 on the inside of each bicep, my daughters birthsigns I drew, the tattoo artist cleaned them up for me. 2 stars on the front of my shoulders (also for my daughters) , 1 sun on my left shoulder I drew (for my mom) . And 1 sun on my back between my traps just because I wanted another tat. I put a pic of my stars .. I need to get an updated pic this is about 18 months old.

I love tats on guys. Nothing too crazy, huge, or dumb, but if it's placed right, it looks really sexy. I don't like alot of piercings on guys. And with some piercings, only some can pull it off. Sometimes an eyebrow or lip piercing will look good but definitely not always. And I'm not a fan of both ears pierced on guys. Especially the gangster wanna-be looking guys that have the huge studs in both ears: not feeling it. I would love to get a tat on one of my shoulder blades. I'm not sure though. And I've always thought that once I got married to a guy I truly loved (which is why I'd be marrying him in the 1st place), I would get his name tattooed on my right hip kinda as a way to claim what's his

It all just depends for me. The right tatoo, in the right spot, on the right body is great. But if anything is even remotely off, then I hate them. I typically like black or blue ink on guys. Not big on color.
On the other hand, I'm a HUGE fan of nipple and eyebrow piercings on males, and eyebrow and nose piercings on females. Love them.
