I had to be a little noisy and I think it would be better for you to pack on 10-12lb. of muscle by doing a bulk routine for six months. Just a suggestion my dear. LOL

I know women can't put on HUGE mass naturally and diet/training is key! duh! but there isn't much information out there (that I can find).

Is the "calorie calculator" the same for men and women??? Has someone done a 3-6 rep heavy weights vs 8-10 etc...???? for bulking? Theory and logic follows a lower rep count for bigger mass but am i missing something???

Hi all. Been so dang busy lately haven't had time for anything but go go go. I'm stalled out at the moment but I think it's because i've been doing nothing but training for the half marathon that's now turned into doing a marathon. Gonna try and change it up a little. Went back to school to get my Masters. So it could be sleep patterns too. Haven't given up on the healthy eating at least

Hey - the key is easy - train as hard as you can! Eat as a horse

Now really - Each training technique, training with weights, training on machines, each diet has some sense - you just must know when and how to use them...... And also later by experiences to find which ones works for you the best.....

For example for me works basic points:
1) Never mind if routine or split - but each part of the body has to be trained at least 2x - 1,5x a week.

2) to keep regeneration - as natural do not train more than 3 days in the row. Only extremally good people are able to regenerate 4 trainings in a row with good supplements and good food. In precontest it is different - there is a split 6 days a row for example - but also there you do not train for muscles but for definition.

4) Choose basic supplements - do not rely on some "Hi tech" ones. Here in our republic we do not have much of them, but it is a plus in some way of look.... I was learned to not choose according the taste, but according the usefullness. I use BCAA, glutamine, C vitamin, fish oil, high % protein - never mind which type, but watching carbs in it and avoiding additional sweeteners. When I am precontest I am adding herbs, gugulbolic and sometimes experiment with some fat burners - but never too much and still base are amino acids.

5) Supplement is something what is PLUS to food. It is not a food. I am trying to have 6 solid meals a day. I am watching my proteins and fats. Carbs are not so necessary as I am gaining rater "pork" than "beef" - my muscles and fat are not in the good ratio, so I am low carb all the time. When you are a hardgainer you need carbs - but good sources: rice, potatoes, oats, not so good are ricecakes (too high GI), pasta, bread (only a few is really "wholecorn".... I avoid cornflakes or sweet cereals! Too much carbs (simple) and fats added to add the "taste"...... In this moment it is very hard for me because I am a sweet tooth but here also taste must be not important than the effect of the food!!

6) Training - simple, here we have not so much machines too, and classical "East block" training is mainly with barbells and dumbells and cables.
Again - sometimes using the machine is not bad!! I have cycles of the training during the year. These cycles are done because of some purpose.... I always know what and WHY I train in the moment. ot just because "I like it"! Between them is sometimes added strategicall deload - but ussually this deload comes naturally when I am in the diet and prepairing for contest. I am not a fan of popular "routines" as Korte or Sheiko etc. I am into "progressive rising of the load" - which may be done by: adding weight, adding reps, adding intenzity techniques, slowering the motions... And each training it must be in some measure better than the previous - higher weight, more reps, slower reps, shorter pauses between, faster training, more sets....

I may say I trained in the old hardcore gym past 5-6 years but now it will closed So I am searching the new gym and was in few "commercial" ones... and must to say I realized I train harder and better techniques than 90% of MEN there.... But this is it!! untill you will see to train somebody really good (and I am not - I trained with several Pros and I am a mild soup beside them) you will not realized what the real "hardcore" training is in gyms like that. Because I guess 90% of the people there think they train hard! But when I came there half of the gym looked at me with their mouth open. And I guess this is the KEY! To not affraid of it - to train as hard as possible. I really do not affraid to puke - this is true. I puked several times. I also fainted several times in the gym!! I cried almost each leg trainings precontest. It is all NORMAL. It is not HARDCORE - it is NORMAL!! And when you are able to keep this intensity the whole year - for few years - this is the key and also reason why a lot of people will give it up!!

And cycling of the year:
For example last years I had my training "year" done as this:

1st phase - Strenght: training 3x week, reps 3-6, weight maximal I may do, basic exercises
2nd phase - Bulk: training 3x week, later 2+1, 2+2, reps 8-10 (legs 12), weight maximal I may do the lower number of reps - and so long untill I will be able to reach the upper number of reps, than upped the weights, basic exercises + some additional exercises.
3rd phase - Shapes : Training 3+1, part trained 2x week, reps 10-12 (legs15), weight still on the maximum I am able to do.... , one basic +2-3 additional exercises, shortened pauses between them.Cardio is added here.
4th phase - Cutting it down: Training vary from 3+1 to 6+1, parts of the body 1 "big" (chest-legs-back) + 1-2 "small" (arms, shoulders, calves, abs), reps vary from 15 to 30/40, weights goes down here as I am also dieting here and doing more reps, pauses between exercises are under 10-20 sec, Cardio is added here. ....
Than usually competition
6th phase - one/three months rest when I do stretching, athletics - running, jumping, running to stairs, swimming, some strengh exercises but only with the bodyweight - looking usually as athletic trainings in general.....it is called "intermediate" phase .

Hope this may help... and give more "general" informations. BTW: this should be payed article

Really? How do you put on that much lean muscle naturally in 6 months? The judges advised 5-6 over the next year or two...hmmm.

Each individual will respond to different dieting/training and you have to fine tune each plan of action as you go. It is harder for women to add mass but it is not impossible.

From my experience it is possible to put maximum of 11 lbs of muscles a year. Naturally - but off course with good conditions. I am talking about lean muscle mass... Average "gain" is 4,4-6,6 lbs.... when conditions are a little bit worse in 12 months.....

My dear lady, I have put on 30lb. of weight/muscle in one year with bulk weight training.
"No 30lb. in six weeks" crap here. THIS IS FOR REAL!

You have to select no more than six basic exercises.

Chest, shoulders, back, abs, legs, and calves

Take a look in the mirror before working out and see your weak points.

Write those down and then think of the various exercises that you can do for those areas.

I just posted a message on your blog. Unfortunately I agree with you that you are making a good choice. There will always be people looking to make money off of other people. It's a shame that you have to take your pictures down, but its understandable.

Thanks, here I let only pictures with logos - because when it has logo it is copyrighted - despite the fact it may be stolen and cut away. But may be enforced by law. Unfortunatelly there is almost no possibility to have a trial with e-pirates. Next time I will provide only a few pictures all with logos ACROSS the picture - not so easily removable.

I feel bad mainly because I still fight with money and will not compete because of that and somebody - instead supporting me by offering me some % for pictures in High res - STEEL THEM!

Only one thing I may is to write about this case everywhere I may.

I think many women do not eat enough to grow. There is a phobia about gaining"fat" so they restrict themselves so that no matter what the training program, true muscle growth either does not occur, or if it does, it is painstakingly minor and very very slow.

Whether you are male or female, you have to feed the muscle. Thats means calories. It means lots of protein. It means carbs, which if ingested at the right times( early meals of the day, especially at breakfast, pre and post workout) will not result in "fat" storage and it also means a proper amount of healthy fats such as oils and nuts.

If you gained four pounds of muscle and one of fat for a total scale increase of five pounds, I am sure your body composition will show a significant change to the positive and that one pound of "fat" will not even be noticeable.

And finally, one does not get "huge" overnight by waking up out of bed one morning. If you do see changes that make you uncomfortable over time, you can always stop the process by altering the diet and/or cardio.

^^^ yes your right! I think the biggest fight for me and probably many women is the miscoception of gaining weight/fat. (duh, i wrote that) I am noticing as i start darning the winter wear, things are tighter than before however the tightness is in the arms, upper back and legs. I have looked in the mirror and actually see muscles and they are shaping as i would like.

I also notice in the gym the weight is going up! significantly! I don't expect to put on 10lbs of muscle mass for a comp in march but i have let go of the barriers i have held on to before restricting the muscle growth. (aka people saying, "you don't want to get big do you?" or "you don't want to look like THAT?" well i don't know how big i CAN get cuz i never took the time to break the ceiling barrier!)

I have NO idea how much i weigh nor will i. I have photos in the next few days to find where i need to improve or redesign....

I keep reps between 3-6 using big muscle groups first and keeping the movements big (this is tough when in the gym seeing people putting out the 8-10+ reps) I just turn up the tunes and keep piling the weights....

my turn to appologize for the long post, i have my own journal I could put it in there i guess.....

I love that you train hard, your body is beautiful! I am sorry for the selfish bastards who take from you.

I like that you work "old school" personally that is the only way to go! Sorry to hear your gym is closing. You should start up an "old school" gym of YOUR own, i would be happy to be a member

Today I got the message :

I must say that my pictures was "stolen by mistake" - today I got the mail from tiitf software that they took pictures via files on rapidshare…. - I guess they are also done by some of "fans" who creates and share them there.

My pictures are now removed - what is fine and the response was quick. So here I am satisfied and I fully accept the apologize.

But still the developer should not rely on “rapidshare” files - but to contact girls instead. Because on rapid there is a lot of stolen material there!

Hi everyone,

As some of you know I will be participating in a charity stair climb of the CN Tower in Toronto on October 22nd. If it is at all possible, I was wondering if anyone would like to donate to the cause, the United Way. I have had to use their services in the past and this is my way of giving back to the charity that if not for them, I would not be where I am today. If you are interested in donating or finding out more about their services, please visit...

http://my.e2rm.com/personalPage.aspx...ationID=769862

Sorry for hijacking the thread. Now please resume the muscle awesomeness .

i know its confusing

ok before i get started on this little thing i want to mention, i am technically and biologically female (despite the name and gender identity)
there isnt really anywhere for people like me to post but i figured that since women have a hardertime being accepted in the BB world, we have the same stuggle with roughly the same goals. since i am pretty much pre-everything as far as hormone treatment and surgery, i have the same hard time losing fat in certain spots.

now to the main point that started this thread, i want UBER big muscles. the kinda that make people go "holy **** you could bench press my car". my main issue is staying uninjured and motivated.
i used to have a 6pack, the "sex muscle" as my friend becki calls it and seriously nice biceps, but while i was injured and waiting to be discharged from the army they wouldnt let me PT so i gained 30lbs of FAT...fatty fat fat...ew and after a year of doing nothing but work and go to school, im weak, fluffy and angry. i have recovered mostly from my knee injury and im ready to double what i had in '08. id really like to know if theres anyone out there like me.

Its the values and attitudes you share with us that matters, not your gender identity. You can start out as a woman who wants big muscles, and then become a supporter when you are farther along in your transition. Welcome!

I think you have every right to be upset and to take action. A photograph is a work of art and only the artist should be allowed to say how it is used and appreciated.
